Flowers dance in the wind in the trading centre. Innocence walks through them, watching them with their innocent, cub eyes. They saw Pyreheart not far off, who was evaluating the other cubs around. Nothing, nothing, nothing. All there were were these cubs with malformed, huge tusks. Not to Pyreheart's tastes - which had been changed and refined over the years by Cruel Leader Dustfinger. They were confident in themselves though - their personality was always that way (but despite that, they were still kind over snarky!). They didn't have them ugly tusks. They had a pretty piebald. Quickly, they got into their stiffest pose, puffing out their chest and looking at Pyreheart expectantly. Pyreheart nodded, pointed to them, and then placed two wriggling yellow beetles on the ground. Innocence giggled in glee. They were finally free from the trading centre! They hadn't a clue what Pyreheart was yet to do...

Later on the 14th:
Innocence has not settled into the tribe well. They glance around nervously, pawing at the ground. They already have a few gashes on their face from Pyreheart. Quickly after they were punished their confident stature had dissipated. After a talking-to from Pyreheart, they were shoved into a stuffy cave full of other freak lions. One looked like the big-tusked freaks in the trading centre did, but with a bobbed tail and muscly appearance. Innocence wondered what they were, and approached them. The lioness kicked him away and hissed, "You don't touch Dustfinger's daughter." and they quickly learned the point. Big burly lionesses are not to be messed with. They rested for a while afterward, tending to their wounds by awkwardly splashing water on them. None of the other lions seemed interested.

Innocence is already a bit more distant from the pride. They flinch away from Pyreheart and hesitate to speak up. They keep their confident stature when doing cub training to show off to Pyreheart - doing a great job in their stalking training. They caught a fat mouse and brought it home. Despite all their effort, Rude Leader Pyreheart didn't even bat an eye at it. Innocence was offended and walked off in silence.

Innocence aced the pouncing test. They pounced on the target, pinning them down and leaving them well stuck on the ground. They were called off soon after and they left without speaking a word. There was a glint in Pyreheart's eye as he watched Innocence walk off. Maybe Pyreheart had finally taken a liking to this newly bought cub? Or maybe he had other ideas for the poor Innocence, who was getting more nervous by the day.

Pyreheart finally noticed Innocence's efforts. Innocence did amazingly well in their chasing training this time, and just left the training with a glare at Pyreheart. Later in the day, while Innocence was sunning on a rock right in the light, they were approached by Pyreheart, who complimented them on their efforts. "You know. You could be a better cub than I thought." Pyreheart said, tapping Innocence with his tail before walking off. Innocence didn't even care. They were getting more and more like a loner because of the past treatment. This sudden niceness couldn't fool them. *I'm no idiot! I don't fall for his tricks!* they always though to themself, picking themselves up and doing more rebellious actions such as pulling out his pride mate's fur.

Once more Innocence succeeded in their training. They were great at sneaking, probably because of the loner side that was slowly taking over them, and were proud of how they were able to pounce up from behind onto Pyreheart's back without him hearing a thing. Pyreheart reacted negatively and threw Innocence far into the wild, an attempt to chase the cub off. However, Innocence returned only a few hours later, claiming they "followed Pyreheart's scent trail". They even had a few herbs they'd gathered on their adventures. Despite everything, Pyreheart clearly was upset. What happened to yesterday's kindness? Did they do something wrong?

Innocence marks their 1 year birthday on this day. They were proud, strutting about and showing off to the little cubs the small, bristly mane that they had started growing. It wasn't even that impressive. Pyreheart was not pleased and bought a lion to teach Innocence how to patrol, not even talking to Innocence on the day regarding it. Annoying.

Innocence was hiding away from the pride for a few days. They came back carrying a squirming cub from the tree, silently putting it down in front of Pyreheart before going off with Saturn for a patrol, some silver beetles still squirming on their back. Pyreheart tried to communicate with them, but their loner side was much more clear now. They didn't even LIKE Saturn, they just knew Saturn was a way to get away from Pyreheart's cruel leadership. Saturn liked Innocence somewhat, but was a bit odd-acting occasionally. Innocence assumed that this was because of Pyreheart's influence. They wouldn't fall to the evil. They would ignore it. After all, who'd want to end up evil?

As an adult, they were free from Saturn. But Pyreheart was getting more wary of Innocence. They were clearly preparing to hand down leadership to the young lion, but still seemed unsure on if he'd done a good job. Innocence still felt confident enough in their good nature, and hoped it'd work well.
