"Hello, princess." Ari winked at the lioness as he brought her the best cut of the meat from todays hunts. She deserved it after all, bearing-the former kings demiurge blessing and markings. She really did look like him, too, only she was less scary and more of a pretty thing to admire for him than a mentor and fellow omen-bearer. They were also the holders of the same crown, Ari just having a few more jewels on his tail.

"Need anything else from me before you leave?" She eyed him and slowly winked. Ari felt the most comfortable with her out of any lion in the camp really, as they had grown up together, and he lingered for so long he eventually just stayed with her in her den for the night.

Aristaeus was directly facing the vision of a spirit yet again. It looked exactly like Pluto. He did not want to deal with this.
He was still not quite sure why he was chosen to lead in the first place. He was brought to this place as a kit and the secrets followed the former king to the grave. Silencio, they called it, a place where you can hear whispers on the desert winds no matter how oblivious you are to the spirit world. He loved it here, but really he had never known anything else. His earliest memory was light reflecting off of water in a deep pool. In this, he reaches to touch the water and as the water droplets touched his skin it flowed through him until the pool was completely empty. In this, most importantly, he was alone.

But there was another who was born. He was forever linked to her. The whole pride affectionately referred to her as princess, but Ari knew her as Lucifera. He did not share this information with anyone, but he always thought "light-bearer" was appropriate for the spirit it described.

And anyways, the spirits were following him, and there was really no better advice to seek than hers. He trotted into the waterfall, with no need to shake himself dry. The droplets avoided him politely, and he always made sure to thank them for the kindness.
