Cranky and solitary by nature, Vera is a lioness happier with her plants than anywhere else. Green growing things bring her joy, and indeed are one of the few living things she has any patience for. However, her loyalty to Queen Ruby is unwavering. Ruby's quiet nature gives Vera the peace of mind she needs in another lion's company, and after the Star Watcher led their group out of their former self destructing pride she won the cantankerous she-lion's complete confidence. After the birth of her first cub, Pulsar, Vera has found that she also has a soft spot for cubs, and so has stepped up to be a broodmother. All the cubs she watches over end up getting plenty of instruction on the growing and use of various herbs. You wanted to tussle with Vera, but she refused. She had a headache and just wanted to sleep. Ah well, maybe next time. You were sharing a chuckle with your pride mates when Vera mumbled at all of you to shut up. Seems she thought it was funny, too.
