Rangi is a cheerful, happy, and positive lion, always seeing the best in other sand in situations or tries to make the best out of anything, so he comforts Okoa a lot since she's so stressed about the pride and helps her make decisions and takes the lead when Okoa needs to rest. He was a loner for most of his life, his mother Furaha (Happy in Suali), was a lone lioness who had her pride die from poaching but had Rangi before the tragedy, Furaha gave him that name (Rangi is Color in Suali) since he was the color of her life that she needed to persevere for them, and she taught him to be king and generous to everyone, Furaha sadly passed away when Rangi was 2 years old, making him a lone wanderer for quite a while, until in one of Okoa's patrols, she attacks him for invading her territory, but Rangi saw that she was very skinny, he pinned her down and asked if she's okay, Okoa gets out of his grasp and hits him right in the face, demanding him to leave, and so he did.
