Nobody expected Heka to be born. Her mother brought her to the pride when she was a newborn, and left her to be nursed by a different lioness. Then, she returned to the desert, and Heka hasn't met her since. The young cub was taken care of by her relatives, especially her cousin Tefnut who practically raised her. Heka became a Healer out of pure want. All she ever wanted was to help those around her, and the position of the Healer seemed to fit into that train of thought nicely.

Like her mother, Heka can be aloof but she isn't emotionless. Some would say she feels more than she lets others see. She is compassionate, always trying to help those in need while keeping her composure for their sake. She lets her emotions flow freely only when she is alone.
