Vineyard found herself beneath the Merciful Sky by pure happenstance, coming across the acacia in a desperate, feverish search for shelter from the heat. She was quickly tended to by the herbalist, Elizabeth, and upon her recovery was welcomed to stay as long as she needed to recoup. She quickly picked up the beliefs of the lions beneath the acacia, sure that it was a blessing from the Merciful Sky that she happened upon its shade and the helpful lions of the pride when she did. Miocorvus, charmed by her polite earnesty and kindness, made the final decision that she'd be allowed to remain.
Vineyard found herself most often chatting with Wenet and Aikido, her warmest welcomers, and soon was helping them to raise the pride's young cubs. She quite quickly became recognized as a broodmother within her own right, and often spends her time telling the cubs tales of her days before joining the pride. By night, every night, she sends a silent thanks to the stars for leading her to her home.
