Sahihi

AH!! Surprise piebald!! 😍

Sahihi means ‘exact’ or ‘precise’. She’s the eldest in her litter, with one littermate named Matope.

The fox is Lux, she met Sahihi and her mother by chance, and took a shine to the little one, whose pretty piebald markings reminded her of her own. Lux pretty much self-appointed herself the little lioness’s godmother. Petrichor likes the fox, so she laughingly allows this.

Sahihi’s best friend is Faline, who goes on to be the Queen of the Pride. The two lionesses have been close since cubhood, and Sahihi is the Leader of the Hunt during Faline’s reign. That position typically belongs to the Queen, but Faline finds she is happiest and most effective as a broodmother, so asked her friend to fill the role in her place. Sahihi proudly accepts, and is an exemplary leader.

~Sahihi is telling you about a weird dream they had last night. Apparently you battled a walking feathered lizard thing, and then a flying metal thing shot light at you, and then dead, decaying hyenas chased you, and then you were talking to ghosts...are they sure that wasn’t a nightmare?
