You watch bemusedly as **Velvet °Valentine° <3 runs in circles in front of you. Where does that lad get his energy?

"Velvet you have to stop running off," Nuvola growled.
"My bad." Velvet shrugged, brushing past him.
"I'm serious! You have to stop!" Nuvola hissed
"I won't..." Velvet said, avoiding Nuvola's eyes. Nuvola let out a low growl, knowing Velvet would do ANYTHING but stay put and do what he was told.
"I made you the head submale and my second in command." He growled.
"Actually, I'm the second second in command." Velvet smirked.
"Don't be a smart ass." Nuvola rolled his eyes.
"Who upset you?" Velvet asked.
"You." Nuvola answered.
"You know you love me," Velvet nudged him playfully and Nuvola sighed.
"At times," he said.
Nuvola heard loud barking and howling, knowing it was from the edge of their territory.
"Velvet..." He growled.
"I'll be back at dark!" Velvet smiled, running past Nuvola.
"VELVET!" Nuvola yelled, but he didn't stop or look back.

"It's not right... he shouldn't be with them..." Nuvola muttered, Regina grooming his fur.
"But he's happy. He isn't any less loyal to you, it's not causing problems, if anything It's giving us a stronger ally with the hyenas." She said. Nuvola hummed.
After a few minutes of grooming, they got up and headed to the border of their territory, knowing Velvet would be back soon. They saw him rolling and giggling in the grasses with one hyena... a female. The one he spent time with the most. Though Velvet had told him and the others that they had no "romantic" feelings. Nuvola saw it differently.
It was love... a different love. Not like the love he and Regina had. Velvet loved her, but not a love to want cubs, a love to want to be with her.
And that's what worried him. If one day Velvet had to choose... who would he stay loyal to? What if one day he didn't come back? Or if he sided against his pride?
Hopefully that day would never come. And Regina was right, this helped form an alliance with the hyena pack who lived nearby, which was very useful. Velvet got up and shook the dirt out of his fur and glanced over at Nuvola.
"I have to go..." he said, turning to the hyena, Valentine.
"Tomorrow?" she asked. Velvet nodded.
"Tell the pack I said bye." He smiled, padding over to Nuvola. Valentine nodded.
"Thank you for taking care of him." Nuvola dipped his head.
"Of course." Valentine said, dipping her head in return before turning away and heading into the cliffs.

"Have you seen Velvet?" Rose tail asked, lying next to Nuvola.
"No... why?" he asked.
"I was going to take him out hunting with me." Rose tail said.
"He probably ran off again," Nuvola sighed.
"He'll be back before dark, as always. He's a strange cub." He nodded.
~ later that night~
Rose tail yawned and laid down in her den. Well, shared den. But Velvet wasn't here.
...
VELVET??
It was LONG past dark outside. Rose tail jumped up, running to Nuvola's den.
"Nuvola! where is Velvet!?" Rose tail yelled. Nuvola flinched, Regina at his side looking up confused.
"I- I thought he was with you.." Nuvola stammered
"Well he's not!" Rose tail said, now very worried. She did care quite a bit about him and cared enough to worry about what could happen to him and where he was. Nuvola got up, not sure what to do at the moment.
"The hyenas. They will know." He said, looking up at Rose tail. As much as he hated it, they would have to go into the hyena territory.
"I'll get some others." Rose tail said, quickly running to get a few other pride members.
Jello, Udode, and Respiri Profondi came with them, following behind Rose tail and Nuvola.
But at the edge of their territory, they saw the hyenas?
Nuvola was confused but put on a regal face, heading to the edge.
"What are you doing here?" Nuvola asked,
"We could ask the same." an older female hyena growled.
"We are looking for my Submale. A cub. I'm sure you know Velvet?" Nuvola said. The female hyena looked confused
"We- We are looking for Valentine... I'm sure you know her" She said.
"Wait, they are both missing?" Nuvola asked.
"seems so," the female answered.
"Where could they have gone..." he thought out loud.
"please tell us if you find them" He said
"Same for you" the hyena said
They both dipped their heads and parted ways
