Khwaza means ‘shriek’, he is named after Yowë, a former Pride member whose name also meant ‘shriek’, who he resembles. According to some in the pride, Yowë was a prince, heir to the pride in fact, and Nikumbuke was in love with him when she was young. Khwaza is the first cub in Nikumbuke’s first litter, her first child. She is very proud of him and his sister, and the old king Wema takes quite a shine to the boy. ~Khwaza prances over to Grandpaw Wema with a small rat in their jaws. Grandpaw Wema proudly declares Khwaza the best hunter in the pride, and his absolute favourite grandcub. 2x ~Khwaza prances about with their Grandpaw, head held high. Old Grandpaw Wema is telling everyone how great Khwaza is, and what a fantastic pride member they'll be when they grow up. 2x ~Little Khwaza hides between Grandpaw Wema's legs after their siblings made fun of them for failing training today. Grandpaw Wema whispers some encouraging words into their ear, mostly about "kicking their tails in" and "rubbing their faces in it".
