Biography
Adhūrā = Incomplete.
So close, yet so far.
Gained his title unfairly, and shed royal blood.

13/15 nrlc
Apakinti's "Champion", dubbed heir to the throne. Previously one of the faithful Cultists not far from the desert camp.

Adhūrā was never the most promising candidate for heir. He was a snappy adolescent and held onto his spite throughout his younger years, a display offputting for most in the pride.
He was only celebrated as heir because Sadivi, naive as he was, aspired to make peace with the cultists, and saw something in Adhūrā he saw in himself.
The Desert king was so oblivious, he wouldn't even realise that what he saw in Adhūrā would be the very thing to kill him.

Adhūrā was a traitor.
He saw the desert as nothing but territory to gain, and oh would he fight for it.
His reign was torturous for all involved, including himself. After Sadivi died, supposedly by natural causes, the pride could only watch as all they had built was ripped apart by claws that shouldn't even be unsheathed.
He was known by his pride as a monster, but by the Cultists he was their saviour. He was their reincarnation of the god they loved and adored.
Adhūrā is "everything Sadivi was and more", which is almost true. He is brave, strong, loyal, and all of that, but he increased it ten fold. He strived so much to be better and has in fact become worse. With everything he has he finds no interest in being kind. Little does he care for his own pride mates, and most say his only goal is to serve.

Adhūrā was never meant to live, much like the queen before him; Amnesia the cursed. And yet his creation was not a mistake at all.
The same way Auternus chose Sadivi as his champion, the dark ruler of the Ruined, Apakinti, chose Adhūrā as his.

[STUFF ABOUT APAKINTI/PROPHECY/WHATEVER]

Auternus and Apakinti are the same being and yet there differences are clear as bird and bug. Auternus is a warm, welcoming deity whilst Apakinti's fire burns too hot for even the dead to go near. Apakinti is too much, and despite it being more powerful than Auternus no sane lion would flock to it like they do the kinder spirit.

Adhūrā is no different from his creator, of course. He is confident and loyal and ruthless but for all the wrong reasons and never when he has to be.
His fate will not be merciful. He will die just as he killed his own King, and in his fleeting moments he will still think he was right to do so.

Adhura sees Apakinti as a father and protector, not unlike his former king Sadivi. Yet Sadivi still honoured Auternus whilst Adhura, naive as he was, took no care in his words when he spoke to his creator.

[shitty poem please avoid]

Mortals are so determined to die with the same words they said all their life.
And most of the time it is the same words many said before them.
Why repeat?
The war is evergoing, Adhūrā and Sadivi are nothing compared to the champions before them and the champions to come.
Neither is fully good in this war, neither is fully evil.
Perhaps you could say it is like predator and prey.
Predator kills Prey to feed its family, and the rest of the prey run to save their own.
I doubt neither animal thinks about it.
A tiger won't fantasize about killing, and it will not think of its prey's family either.
And yet a deer wouldn't think of the tiger. It wouldn't stop and look back apologetically, sorry the tiger will not live another day.
