“Hadeon is a boy's name of Ukrainian origin. Though a definition of "destroyer" might not seem like the most glowing review, destruction can be emblematic of plenty of positive things in life too. To transform or seek out opportunities is a type of destruction in itself. Like the notion of a bone growing back stronger from micro-fractures, destruction is natural part of the growing process and a method for making your way through this world.” - TheBump.com
Hadeon’s existence was always a puzzle to her pride.
Born as Allegra, the former king Snart almost killed her as her scent was almost indistinguishable from a males, but ultimately decided to let her live despite this fact. However, as she got older, it became more obvious that she wasn’t like a traditional lioness. She played rougher, had a deeper voice, and was even growing a mane like a male would. This not only confused her hesitant pride but also infuriated Snart, as he now saw her as a challenger, but knew that killing or exiling her without good reason would quickly get him overthrown by disgruntled queens. Thus, he began treating Allegra differently. Terribly.
Allegra quickly became outraged by the king’s treatment of her and tried to get some of the lionesses on her side, but unfortunately, they were all too afraid of what he would do to try and stand up to him. After all, Snart was the king, and it was just customary to let him do what he wanted. The days went on and Allegra continued to train in hunting, getting angrier by the minute. Why should she be the one hunting and fighting and doing all the work when the king gets away with doing nothing and claiming all the glory? It wasn’t fair in the slightest.
When she became of breeding age, Snart quickly informed her that he was not interested in a “freak” and would not be producing any cubs with her. Allegra was more happy about this than anything— one less form of torture she would have to deal with. But, a beautiful lion like herself couldn’t stay single for long. She met a submale from a neighboring pride named Kaspar and quickly fell for him; he was kind and admired her unique attributes, and Allegra finally felt like she had someone she could relate to. It wasn’t long before she fell pregnant. Despite how excited she wanted to be, she couldn’t help but be terrified. She couldn’t hide this from Snart for long.
Allegra told Kaspar the news and immediately went into hiding, going on overly frequent hunts and patrols to excuse why she wasn’t with the main group most of the time. Then, she finally gave birth to three beautiful cubs, naming them Callista, Adonis, and Rumi. But, just like she feared, Snart soon found out about her affair and wouldn’t stand for such impudence. He killed her cubs and hastily exiled her, threatening to kill her too if he so much as smelled her near the territory again. And so, Allegra left, fueled with sorrow and fury.
She first went to her mate’s pride to try and run away with him, but when she ran into one of his pridemates, she learned that he had actually also been found out and exiled for going behind the king’s back— after all, submales couldn’t be mating with females when that was the king’s job. This only made Allegra feel more hopeless. She was truly alone now. As she traveled into the unknown, her furious thoughts overtook her. She would prove everybody wrong.
With the help of a few rogue lionesses who needed some protection, Allegra began her own pride, naming herself Queen and officially breaking all the rules of a traditional pride. She also renamed herself to Hadeon to symbolize the destruction she would be causing to lion-kind. As her pride’s numbers grew and she became stronger, she decided to take revenge on Snart, traveling back to her old pride to challenge his position to the throne. He was confident in his own victory but underestimated how powerful a young intersex lion could be. With his brutal death, Hadeon took on all of her former pridemates as subjects. Her conquest didn’t end there, however. She then moved to Kaspar’s old pride and killed off his king as well, absorbing all of his pride in the process.
Despite finally achieving her goals and getting revenge on those she believed deserved it, these cruel traits didn’t disappear. She seems to hold on to these bitter feelings and acts out against those who are innocent, including her own pride. It seems that her fight for equality only ended in her becoming what she hated the most— a bloodthirsty dictator with selfish motives and desires.
