Biography
Chad the Indochinese Tiger is his best bro. Kaydan is the second King of the Badlands Pride, after he killed the first King Kitty Clearsight. He was disgusted by his treatment of his lioness and cubs, so he took it upon himself to be rid of him and take his place. While he too is aggressive and bloodthirsty, his pride is the exception to that side of him, as he will protect them all with his life if necessary. He's a bit of a Loner in his personality, given his life beforehand was spent as a loner, and as such is unable to show his emotions and is a bit awkward when it comes to socializing with his lionesses, but treats them all well and in turn they respect him. Especially since he ousted their old tyrant. One day while exploring he came across another lioness named Carly who smelled of another pride. Initially aggressive towards the trespasser, after a brief battle the two started to feel something... a sort of intrigued curiosity about the other. Instead of chasing her off, he decided to talk to her and learn some stuff about her, such as her father was recently killed and she considered leaving her pride. For some reason Kaydan felt compassion for this strange lioness he just met. After spending the night under the stars together, they decided to meet up again the next night. And then the next. Then the next... After some time, Kaydan knew he was in love with Carly. He never felt this way about anyone before, not even his pridemtes. One night he decided to offer Carly a place in his pride. While tempted, Carly decided not to, explaining that she could never leave her mother behind. While hurt and a little put off, Kaydan could understand her loyalties to her mother, and wished her well. Carly left his territory behind for her own home, and Kaydan went back to his. Some nights, Kaydan will go out alone, underneath the stars and moon. He will stare up at it for hours, and then he'll get up, and start roaring with all his heart. Nobody else knows why, but maybe he does it with grief, missing the one lioness he's ever loved. Or maybe he does it in the hopes that Carly can hear him, and know the love that he still holds for her, and the cubs they share.
