Diomedes, Unforgiving Warrior My name is Diomedes, my title given to me by my comrades and by my pride are among many, though the one that sticks out to me the most is, Unforgiving Warrior. I got this nickname from the pride that my brother and I came from. We were inseperable as cubs, we attacked one another, played with one another, even flirted with the same lioness cubs back then. I could remember all of it, and I could reminisce all day about the adventures and troubles we got in. However that isn't the reason you'er lending an ear, I know you want the juicy detail. You want to know how me and Ares have drifted so far apart from one aonther? How the man I once called brother, I wish to rip apart slowly? This began many years ago, it was when we reached our adolescents and had to flee our pride. My brother wished brute force on ladies, while I was a kind and guiding soul, hard to believe. To any that threatened them, me and my brother would go on a bloodbath. It got so bad, and I lost myself to the darkness that shrouded his heart, I too began to kill meaninglessly. The lioness' were of no concern, I did not care for any of them. However... there was one lioness in particular that still held me within her paw. Her soft words, kindness, she always helped me feel better. Become more myself when I was around her. I called her Angel, Light Bringer. She was my light, and the only thing I never wanted to lose. I stopped killing, took in cubs, me and my brother started to fight more, at first it was over how I was acting and what Angel was 'doing' to me. Then it began over who would fully lead the pride, and who would be a sub-male. There was no way I would let him take over, he wasn't going to hurt her! I bested him in combat, and he grew distant from me. He disappeared one day with some of my lionesses and I hadn't seen him until that fateful day of the fire, of the attack. I almost lost Angel, lost most of my pride. His name had changed, his eyes were cold, and his heart was black. Ares, The Blackhearted. This was a suitable nickname for him, and the nickname it stayed. To this very day, Ares is still the number one threat on my priority list, and I will finish him.... one day.
