Hailing from a scorched land where the sun never set, this massive lion roamed the burnt, ashen plains for many years... The savage sun burnt all life to embers and ash... nothing remained... humans and animals alike fled the area long ago... Grass didn't even dare to grow. This lion didn't remember exactly why he stayed, but he kept shambling forward, his paws becoming dirtier and dirtier with the ashen remains of those who fell long ago, and the sun baked red sand. Finally... One day... The unyielding sun brought him to his knees, and not ready to give up, he let out a wicked roar that shook the Earth beneath him, and suddenly, the wind went silent. In almost an instant, everything went black. He awoke sometime later... ...It... Was dark? The lion looked up in surprise to see the sun... covered by the moon! He had only heard of the moon in legends! He jumped up onto his paws, startling the ravens around him. The blaze of the sun was gone. The wind felt cold. He stood still, allowing the cool breeze to flow through his fur. The lion closed his eyes and sighed. He sat down again, and a raven hopped on his back to pick the fleas from his fur. Life was back. And around him, he saw green shoots beginning to sprout from the soil.
