Heavenly Khanya

Khanya was born late in the previous queen's reign to the second and most beautiful of the Moonrock leopons: Khione, goddess of snow. Her coat boasts the blessings of both her mother and her grandmother - two scatterings of vitiligo, the snow of her mother, and a brilliant array of colours, the blessing of her grandmother, Iris, goddess of rainbows. She was given the name Khanya, meaning light - that which creates all colour.

Khanya's beauty stunned the previous queen, Nebeski, from the moment she was born, and she was chosen to be trained as the next ruler. Through their training, Nebeski became like a second mother to Khanya, and the bond they had was unbreakable.

Before her passing, Nebeski taught Khanya a shamanic spell that would allow her to take the mutation of another lion by sacrificing her official family records. She cast the spell, and acquired a stunning piebald atop her already beautiful coat, and though her official royal lineage may no longer say she is the daughter of Khione, Khanya will never forget her origins, and is forever proud of her leopon heritage.
