Biography
\|•🌺🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿•\| It was a hot, dry summer day in the African savannah that a large pride of lions called home. A once large and muscular lion was patrolling his pride's territory. His thick, dark mane had only made him hotter. The old male lion was about to turn 14 and his body was beginning to slow down enough that he wouldn't be able to patrol the pride's territory anymore. Thankfully, this was his last patrol and he could retire to live out the rest of his days basking in the sun around the watering hole. *Ruka* was about to turn around to head back to the pride's caves and give a report to his leader when he heard urgent and scared mewling. Curious, the cinnabar lion followed the fearful mewls. Upon arriving at an old rock den, he found a small cub stuck in a deep hole. There were no adult lions around and the scent of the previous inhabitants was faint. The old cinnabar male reached into the hole and carefully grabbed the cub with his teeth. He laid the cub down into the dry grass and licked it clean with precise and gentle strokes. The cub started to purr and looked up at the old lion. That's when Ruka noticed something different about the cub. It was bigger than most cubs its age, had more fur around the neck, had a short tail and... were those saber teeth? Ruka ended up taking the abandoned cub back to his pride. He showed his queen, *Leilyne,* who decided on raising the cub as if he were her own. She named him *Aristaeus* after the Greek god of shepherds, the arts, beekeeping and honey. As she too was getting older and thinking of retiring soon, she knew she wanted to teach him to be a good, noble leader of the pride one day. \|•🌺🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿•\| Aristaeus is a clean G3 felis that I acquired on March 30, 2024.
