Rosie was born as a male lion, but she always felt like she was a female. She hated her body and her role in the pride. She wanted to be graceful, gentle, and nurturing. She wanted to care, cuddle, and mate. She wanted to be herself.
But her pride did not accept her. They mocked her, shunned her, and abused her. They called her a freak, a mistake, and a disgrace. They told her she was not a real lioness, and she would never be one.
One day, when Rosie was about two years old, her pride decided to get rid of her. They attacked her, bit her, and scratched her. They chased her away from their territory and left her to die.
Rosie ran for her life, bleeding and wounded. She wandered the savanna, looking for food and water. She avoided other lions, hyenas, and predators. She was alone, scared, and hopeless.
But fate had other plans for her. One night, as she was resting under a tree, she heard a roar nearby. She looked up and saw a large male lion approaching her. She thought he was going to kill her.
But the male lion did not attack her. He sniffed her, licked her, and nuzzled her. He recognized Rosie as one of his own. He was Kastle 2.0, the leader of a different pride.
Kastle's pride was different from Rosie's old one. They were more tolerant, diverse, and open-minded. They accepted lions of all genders, orientations, and identities. They valued each other's strengths and differences.
Kastle invited Rosie to join his pride. He offered her protection, food, and companionship. He also offered her love and affection. He saw Rosie as a beautiful and brave lioness.
Rosie accepted Kastle's offer. She felt happy, grateful, and relieved. She finally found a place where she belonged. She finally found someone who loved her for who she was.
Rosie became a member of Kastle's pride. She learned to care for the cubs, support the hunters, and bond with the others. She grew more feminine, gentle, and confident. Her new pride even helped her cut her mane.
Rosie became a female lioness in almost every way possible. She also became Kastle's number one, they cuddled and roared together. They were happy and proud.

Eventually, as Kastle was getting older, the pride had a meeting while Rosie was off playing with the cubs. When she came back, Kastle told Rosie that the pride had come to a conclusion.
Rosie's mind raced; is she being kicked out again? Will she be alone and scared once more?
Kastle could see that Rosie was uneasy, so he nuzzled up to her and said "Don't worry Rose... This isn't bad. You are safe with us. We made a promise remember?"
Rosie's body relaxed and she was at ease again, though still confused. "What is this about then?", she asked as she glanced at the pride, all of which were so excited and happy.
Kastle backs up a bit and looks at Rosie. "As you know, I'm getting older. And I will be retiring soon. We would love if you could be our new queen."
Queen? Rosie has never her of a lion Queen before. "A... Queen?"
"Yes," Kastle says with a smile, "Not because we think you 'need to be a lion and have your own pride and whatever'", he mocks, "But because we are all so proud of the lioness you have become, and we want to break the stereotype of only Males leading prides."
Rosie's eyes sparkled with tears of happiness and excitement. "We think you will make a great leader. Plus, you could help a bit more than a male can. You are so protective of the cubs, more than any lion I've ever met!" exclaims Kastle.
"So... Do you accept our offer? To become the first ever Queen Rosie? "
Rosie collapses in happiness and roars out "YES! Oh great gods yes!! This is amazing!! I will Lead the pride in new directions and guide them in new ideas. I will teach the cubs how to be the best lion they can be, and I will fight off anyone that tries to hurt our pride!!"
Kastle smiles, "Your pride." he chuckles.
That day Kastle stepped down and Rosie took over the Throne. She is the leader now. The Queen. The whole pride roared in excitement, so loud I swear you could hear it 100 miles away. *
Rosie's story is one of courage, resilience, and love. It is a story of a trans lioness who overcame adversity and found happiness. It is a story of hope and inspiration for all.
