A daughter of leopard kings, Alexandra was born the younger of two sisters. Her beauty, carrying a striking resemblance to a leopard's pelt, was revered from the very moment she was born. Early on in her life, she was offered the role of Prime Lioness, the highest honour bestowed upon a lioness in the pride, to be wed to the next king and to stay beside him in all his duties. Alexandra, however, had different plans. She was a powerful, ambitious lioness, but she had an affinity that drew many to her light and leadership. Instead of securing her role as Prime Lioness, she instead vied for the kingship of the pride. Her victory was long and hard-fought against her suitor and mentor, The Mighty Squelch, but eventually, even he conceded victory to her. When the previous king, Spirit of Benevolence, had become too old to rule, Alexandra took her place as the first Queen of the Pride. Though she was one herself, Alexandra was a lover of lionesses. Throughout her life, she would be seen donning colours of the rainbow, a symbol of love that was hard-won. She would go on to transform her pride into a safe haven for those who loved differently.
