With a mane of pink that seems to mock the desolation of her surroundings, and claws as cold and unyielding as her home itself, she rules over her pride with a bloodied fist. That’s how it has to be, for their home is a wasteland, uncaring and brutal and such sentiments as mercy and compassion are foreign concepts here, in a world where weakness is swiftly punished by death. Her lionesses fear her, for they know that their lives hang in the balance, subject to her whim and her whim alone. And yet, they also know that she is their only hope for survival in a land devoid of pity or kindness. A weak lion holds no value here, deemed more useful as sustenance for the hungry and the young than as a living creature. Displaying vulnerability in the presence of the queen ensures a swift and pitiful demise, ensnared in the jaws of her merciless grip. “Another lioness fallen, a pitiful sight indeed. Regrettable, yet necessary. She possessed promise, such strength of heart. But her downfall was inevitable, consumed by her own arrogance and pride. It's tragic, really. To witness potential extinguished by folly. She dared to question my authority, to challenge the natural order of our pride, such defiance is met with swift and merciless consequences.
