[ `Mbali, a flower in the rough` ] To be written. [ `Meeting Star Toucher` ] Star Toucher was something new to Nko'si. She wasn't like anyone he had met before. Not only was she nervous and shy, but she was also awkward in her actions, something that was made painfully obvious due to her oddly small, skinny build and long legs. She felt like the complete opposite of him most of the time. Nko'si was naturally charismatic-- talkative and lively, warm and welcoming. Star Toucher was quiet, maybe even anti-social, and wary of most. You'd think that would mean they'd be incompatible, but Nko'si liked her and didn't fret over the differences. He adjusted when he was around her; rather than always talking, he'd sometimes let his actions speak for him such as the occasional gentle, comforting touch of lightly pressing his earthy brown and black pelt against hers for a moment. It was a small gesture, but it was enough. In the end, Nko'si learned to enjoy the silence between them. One of his favorite pastimes is sometimes bumping into Star Toucher at night and sitting under the stars, enjoying the moonlight. Nko'si considers Star Toucher a dear friend of his. [ `Heathertalon the Huntress` ] Much like himself, Heathertalon loves to explore and that's just what the two of them spend most of their time doing. Their adventures often lead them into trouble, but Nko'si careful his daughter is never in serious danger. It's during these trips that Nko'si shows the young cub how to hunt, teaching her to stay low and keep quiet so as not to scare the prey away. They've only brought back small creatures like birds and the occasional dik dik, but he's continually impressed by how quickly she learns. It goes without saying that Nko'si is quite proud of his daughter. Secretly, he worries about the relationship between her and Star Toucher, her mother.
