Setanta is AMAB and uses HE/THEY pronouns. He identifies as homoflexible.
Setanta is one of two outsider males that have been welcomed into Elysium throughout the entire course of the kingdom’s history.
A boisterous yet reliable young lion, Setanta I formerly trained in Elysium’s military sector as the kingdom’s first Sentinel. Having used his seemingly unending energy and trust worthy disposition to their benefit, Blood Spatter and Primordial Stew employed Setanta as a sort of scout— one who preformed reconnaissance and spent the majority of their time working alone. Such a job eventually tempered Setanta into an independent and clever decision maker, necessary traits of a King.
Though he was unaware of it for some time, Setanta was under heavy consideration as Heir during his career as a Sentinel. Many high ranking Elysiumites carefully observed his progress in preparation for an eventual decision. Additionally, this meant that Setanta was facing thick scrutiny from many citizens of Elysium— generally from those in the medicinal and hunting sectors. One poor decision or reckless mistake could’ve cost him the title of Heir, or even his citizenship.
Within the tightly knit military sector, Setanta thrived. He worked well with his superiors, viewing them with respect and following orders with enthusiasm.
He remains close friends with Blood Spatter and Primordial Stew.
Perhaps his greatest supporter, Setanta has a very close relationship with Beans. Upon his arrival, the Broodmother was the first entirely warm and friendly face he had been greeted with. Setanta undoubtably views Beans as a mother figure.
Since his rise to King of Elysium, Setanta and Beans maintain a closer mother-son dynamic.
During his career as Sentinel, Setanta occasionally spent time entertaining Skittle’s shamanistic readings. Since then, the two have cultivated a friendship and mutual appreciation.
Prior to being welcomed into Elysium’s arms, Setanta was born into a small shrub land pride. Following the overthrowing of his King by a nomad, Setanta was forced to flee or face an untimely death. The lush jungle of Elysium was the ideal spot for Setanta to live out his Lion King fantasy, surviving only off grubs and rain water.
Instead, he stumbled into the midsts of a hunting party, who rounded him up and brought him to King Ithaca for consideration. It was decided that the frail and shivering teen would be secured citizenship in Elysium, and after a few weeks of codling at the hands of the Broodmother he was inducted into the military sector.
