For some strange reason, after reaching the safety of the cave, you slink your way back towards the king, curious. You find him still sitting by the edge of the water, his tail swishing a little. He seems peaceful like this, and you almost start to think you were wrong about him, before he suddenly turns to you, snarling. He stands and charges towards you, and you stumble backwards. "You're wearing on my patience." He growls, "Your time here is short. Understand me?". You nod your head and scamper back towards the cave, deciding it best to give him his space.

Callius, the ruthless, Second King of the Placid Pond Pride
Callius is an often cold and unforgiving brute. He may look like a distinguished leader, and some have mistaken his foggy eyes as a mark of wisdom, but in fact they only mask his cruelty. He is not incapable of love or kindness, he merely sees aggression and violence as ways of getting what he wants, and he has little attachment to those outside of his small circle. He has no qualms about attacking prey while they stop to drink at the pond, or even striking down lionesses that don't obey him. He's been known to kill another lion that angers him, rather than run them off. Most who know him consider him heartless, since only those he's the closest too, see any hint of a soft side.
Callius is very protective of his territory, his females and his cubs, even though he's also quite happy to chase off or even kill any females he's done with or cubs he doesn't like. He's usually particularly harsh with male cubs, favouring daughters. He believes that since the pond is in his territory that he should have sole rights to the water source and only those he allows may drink of it. Including lions, the prey herds and other critters that live in the area.
The vicious king took little interest in the old ways of the pride before his arrival, but did take special notice of the battle beetles they had. While the pride formerly raised the beetles as pets, Callius allows the continuation of their breeding and care, merely so they may fight for his amusement. He seeks special interest in the strongest beetles, also drawn to the rarer ones at time, and is more than happy to eat beetles that don't live up to his standards, even if he never did care for the taste.
While Callius rules the land, the risk stands that the pond may run red with blood. Fear and loathing shall reign, and only Callius' word will be law. Only those closest to him will be safe from his cruelty, and he will not falter from the lesser opinions others hold of him. He is king, and he will have what he wants, and all those who oppose him will be buried under his throne.

Special Notes:
I created Callius. I gave him an evil personality for an achievement, but also to match the negative karma I planned to give him to get some different explore rewards and have a different game experience. I bought a Piebald (Cracked) male from another player and then changed his base, mane colour, skin, and eyes. I gave him his Sunset and Sunrise markings, his Fiery Inverted Brawl, and turned his Quartz Belly up to 100%. He was almost completely customized, and I am more than pleased with how he turned out. The first king that I really designed.
