Ophis's Den

You've made a wrong turn on your way to your pride in a hurry to get home. This finds you lost in a series of overgrown and tangeling vines that eventually gives way to a series of caves and caverns that lead you forward and to an enclosed courtyard of stone and vegetation large enough to encompass a small elephant if need be. In the center of the undomed space you find a lone lion with stygian black fur that seems to shimmer under the moonlight- altering and shaping into clouds of astral dust that shines and sparkles as he breathes slowly, in and out.

Every second feels like a lifetime as you watch him stir, waking with a slow lift of his head as he catches your scent and opens his eyes with a lidded expression.

"I see you've finally arrived..." he puffs, exhaling a drifting cloud of drafted smoke from his maw as his green eyes glint and shimmer under the moon- giving the impression of an endless blue expanse hidden just beneath the surface, "Now then...what can I do for you?"
