I don't know what to call this pride anymore

Long ago this pride lived in a marsh this marsh was unlike any other a constant fog ,strange air that warped the minds of it's inhabitants twisting there view ,prey would fight each other hyenas would disappear without a trace, laughter echoed among the thick fog unable to trace it's source the fog thicker than the darkness that swallows caves ,light barely touches it's depths only a strange glow that rolls on the everlasting fog eyes seem to glow here birds don't chirp if one did see the residents of this unforgiving place they would see a constant smirk a twisted grin glowing eyes if you managed to survive and not get lost among the never ending fog then the inhabitants might be your blight , the pride that lived here left along time ago there twisted minds faded away the fog that clouded there eyes lifted away from them , when they left the light burned there eyes it scared them so much they hid in a deep cave away from the bright light after the countless darkness this pride finally left there cursed home to a peaceful place or will this be the last time they see the light what would happen if a new king or queen was crowned would they drag the pride back to the cursed marsh?, or would the new king or queen keep them in the safety of the river.
