Korabi's Den

First Generation

Korabi wandered into this remote stretch of desert soon after reaching adulthood, having left his mother's pride in search of his own territory. He was heartbroken by what he found. Life here was harsh in a way he had never experienced, for his childhood was a sheltered and happy one. He remembered fondly, lush green grasslands where cubs would frolic, full stomachs and watchful den-mothers keeping worry at bay. Cubs here did not have the same luxury. The arid landscape provided little food and crime was rampant. There was mistrust in every creature's eyes. Lionesses traveled with heads down, hoping to avoid an interaction with one of the roving prides of males who had taken root here.

Korabi was determined to make life better, not only for himself, but for all those who resided around him. He treated every being he met with kindness, aiding and educating as he went and, miraculously, the hardened residents began to respond. News of his actions spread, and soon his pride began to grow. Lionesses would flock to him, often with hungry frightened cubs, as a beacon of hope. He welcomed them all in, his only condition being that they spread goodwill.

Despite his gentle demeanor, Korabi was a formidable enemy. With the news of his growing influence, the roving lions soon scattered to the edges of the desert to avoid his wrath. Peaceful ions, and their prey, could now move freely between food and water sources. Health improved dramatically as a result.

Under his watchful gaze, and with the aid of his partner Simi, the desert entered an age of peace and prosperity. The likes of which it would not see again for decades to come.
