Amidst a drought, recently exiled Bacchanal and his faithful mate Galina struggled to begin their own pride. The lands were ruthless and harsh, and with only one lioness to hunt, food was scarce between the two. Africa delved further into chaos, unrest rising among the animals and sacrifices had to be made just to stay alive. On a sleepless night the pair stumbled across two lion cubs, Yuriy and Mila- likely abandoned by a pride who was too weak to care for them. Despite their lack of food or stability, they could not sentence them to a cruel death, so they took them in. Bacchanal looked to the clouded night sky and roared for guidance from those up above. For days though, it seemed a fruitless endeavor.

On a night where the stars seemed to shine brighter than ever, Mila woke up and declared she received a prophecy: a vision of a place that would save them all. With nothing to lose, they followed the cub for days, nearly exhausted and starved before Mila led them to a land that swelled with life. Crystal blue lakes and flowers of all colors, it was a land untouched by any other lion. From that day on, Mila was revered as the Patron Saint of life itself. They guided the weak and sickly to live amongst them, establishing rules and order to prevent more needless suffering.

Though years passed and the original four were eventually gone, in their place they left a legacy. The daughters of Mila carried on her practices and set up a ranking system to ensure her beliefs would be carried out perfectly. The Ascended One would act as the overseeing ruler, and the Archbishop as the one to be mentored to take his place one day. After that, the ruling lionesses as priestesses and angels to oversee choosing the next Archbishop, healing, interpreting prophecies, and hunting, their authority granted firstly by a combination of bloodline and rigorous tests, or a divine prophecy. Finally, the paladins, the strongest of the lions to fight and protect the sacred land. Together, they keep the promise to their saint to keep this Kingdom from ever delving into the chaos she once faced.
