PHILOSOPHY
I'm a dual clean line breeder - no inbreeding, and none of the "Big Four" or other lions with a very high amount of descendants. Short pedigrees are highly valued, as this makes it easier to track heritage. Fifth generation and lower are my ideal when introducing new blood to the pride.

Aesthetically, I focus on lions with black genetic bases. Solid and dark are most preferred, but not a hard requirement. I curate my pride to improve the chances of certain colors, including breed-only and combo ones.

Generally speaking, this pride is matrilineal. That means I keep direct female descendants of my current king, and take in unrelated males as his future heirs.

I use some symbols under each lion's name to give an easy overview of their pedigree. 💜 means no heritage, while 💕 means dual clean lines.

GAMEPLAY TACTICS
Any cubs or adolescents that do not match my criteria will be cared for until adulthood and then chased. This applies both to lions I've bred myself, and to ones found at the Giving Tree. Claimed lionesses that I don't want to keep get sent to the nature reserve for karma instead of going back into the chase pool.

Why do this, you might ask? As it is currently, a lot of the NCLs out there are simply the same few plain ones that get claimed for impression XP and then chased again. That lowers the appeal of both getting to Dreamboat level, and interacting with lionesses in Explore.

By taking the time to raise otherwise unwanted but visually interesting lions and chasing them when they reach adulthood, my hope is that more of them will eventually show up as available claims. This may make exploration feel more rewarding for players like myself who otherwise tend to skip over lioness encounters.
