𝐵𝑜𝒶𝓏's Den

The forest was large, wet, and rich. Its canopy was dominated by hickory, dogwood, and redwood, and cascading lights bouncing between the leaves allowed for a hodgepodge of herbs to grow in the insect riddled soils below.

Curving creepers suspended from most trees, and a medley of flowers, which grew in a sprinkled and disorderly fashion, added colorful variety to the otherwise beige lower level.

A medley of beastly sounds, predominantly those of insects, resonated through the air and were in harmony with the occasional sounds of breaking twigs beneath the feet of larger animals.

A uniquely marked brown lioness pauses at the border where you stand, offering a curious look as she leans forward to give you a sniff.
Pulling back and dipping her head, she gestures for you to follow her across the scent line.

Following a trail that had been created by many pawprints. It was obscured by bushes and fallen rocks and sloped high into the valley. The path halted and a cave appeared. Ivy wound round the cave and concealed the entrance that was a jagged opening. Inside was dim although being lit by two small fires in the corner of the cave. In the center was a heap of sleeping cubs and lionesses, and in the far corner, there was a rather nice nest made with dried grass. In the gloom, a larger figure lurked.
