The Rocky Mountains are said to be home to the goddess of the peaks Azara..of course King Kovu knew this would be the perfect land for him to start his pride..what he didn't know is that Azara herself had cursed him and his pride..With each passing day Kovu felt himself grow colder and colder. Lashing out at the lead huntress and her hunting party for bringing less food..Killing cubs that he didn't like based on looks alone..and even killing the lionesses that kept him fed. What he didn't know is that Azara had taken a disguise as the hunts chief Flick, a lioness with odd spots, reminded him of a wild dog. She had grace and speed..as if she had been touched by the goddess of grace, Celeritas herself. He hated it..but he couldn't kill her as she was one of the best hunters the Rocky Mountain pride had. Over the months more and more lionesses and cubs were killed..he called them sacrifices for the God of Blood Sanguis. Of course this was half true..the God had spoken to him in his dreams..demanding blood shed..After years of torment among these lands finally they were free..Kovu had passed of old age..but not before having an heir and attempting to raise her in the way and word of Sanguis.This heir's name was Fluminis short for Fluminis glacies..as she appeared to have been touched by the Deity of Winter Hiems..she had a icy..almost frostbitten coat..and she was nothing like her father. She hated harming another lion. After all they are all of the same blood, they all came from Silva the godess of life herself. She was kind,motherly, and a role model..she would take in orphaned cubs..if the lionesses of the pride wished to leave she would take them to kind humans..which she somehow was able to smell the purity within them..she would even try and side with the hyenas..she hasn't had an heir yet..but ofcourse her time isnt up yet!
Pride Decorations
Huntresses are decorated with natural items crafted or found in the world around them while hunting,they bear the scars of their hunting trips. A huntress with bone decor is considered the Hunts Chief.
Brood mothers are typically decorated with flowers, shells, gems, and small bones.They may also have a "pet" such as a crow or an insect. The lead Broodsmother simply called Pride Mother she wears garlands crafted from flowers only available in December, meaning she is very special.
Adolescent males and female are not permitted to wear any sort of decorations before they are 2 years of age, unless the male has shown himself worthy of being a Sub-Male he is forced to leave. The females may leave if they chose but if they stay the night they turn 2 years of age they are decorated with small bones as a ceremony.
Cubs and Elders are paired with small mice representing their importance nature, they also have a goddess or God in the form of an animal watching them as they are the most vulnerable in the pride, Elders are treated with the same respect as the Queen or King of the pride.

Kovu, the Deathlord of the Jungle
A cruel lion..who is from a far away land, was exiled from his home and forced to wander in search of his own land, which he found between a passway. He started killing for food without blessing the meal for giving its life..so the local godess cursed him and his future pride. He had met saber a lone lioness who was very kind. He hated it but she was a primal fang..so that meant strong cubs..naturally he convinced her join the pride..before she knew it..she was under a cruel iron paw. Being punished for failed hunts, failed cubs, and even failed teaching. He had enough of her..but he had to keep her alive..so the cycle wouldn't end. He was harsh on her cubs and even killed pathetic heirs in his eyes..of course he was the cause of her death..pridemates said is was old age..but this was just to save their hides..he had killed her after her last heat and it was a pathetic cub in his eyes and mind..after 16 years of torment he had passed..his burial was..deserved to say the least they had left his body to the vultures and the hyena clans he hated.

A king queen, who had taken over the pride after her fathers passing. She strived for kindness only and never ruled through fear..She saw the good in everyone and everything. She refused to take a life that would not feed her pride, even hunters.She loved every cub she came across..she never turned one down! She refused to be like her father in anyway,shape, or form. She formed a strong alliance with hyenas, and even opened a clan for muties like her! Fluminis was a well respected leader among her territory only taking what she needed and leaving what she didn't. She never over hunted and she taught her hunters to respect the land and to let it heal.
