Ruby's eyes never waver from you as you enter the territory lines, her sleek and regal form slipping behind her like a conniving serpent as she seems to follow your movements; head held low and ears pinned against her neck, a low growl rumbling through the grass like a cicada's hum.
The scenery around this territory isn't entirely dry seeing as it neighbors a Crocodile's Lounge, a long stretch of river that runs as far as the eye can see splits in both ways. A mix of green and yellow grasses paint the pride's camp in mellow speckles, not many trees in sight, the only shade being provided by the sandstone boulders and the few burrows they've dug around the area. On one side of the camp, though, lies an overhanging marula tree where some of the newer members have chosen to climb and sleep around
(( This is an NCL roleplay pride because I got bored and decided to just- input a bunch of my OCs into the game instead of worrying about Special bases or crazy markings and all that ))

DAILY EVENT 2/4/24 : Jade tried to get smooth with Julia in the spirit of Aphrodisia. Chess had to break up the fight before anyone got hurt
DAILY EVENT 2/5/24 : Squid and Kien got into a very long discussion about whether vultures are friend or foe. Frank found it boring and spent the entire day out patrolling to get away from it
DAILY EVENT 2/6/24: Tarvon tried to eat Mix and Go today. While ruffled up, both girls are fine, and Chess is very disappointed in their friend.
DAILY EVENT 2/7/24: With the birth of Diana's squirming little flame and Julia working on her own, the pride seems to be slowly accepting the idea that they're lions permanently now. This is their life. Why not settle down and enjoy it?
DAILY EVENT 2/8/24: Chelsea finally got back from her long trip to the Hyena Wastelands! And she came just in time to hear Kien's story about a wacky, insane lion out by the cliffs. Chelsea recognizes the description, but isn't so sure the guy was even a lion...
DAILY EVENT 2/9/24: Diana yearns to get back out into the dunes. Jade thinks Elizabeth is too young to be left with the pride yet, but Ruby doesn't want to hold Diana back
DAILY EVENT 2/10/24: Akaji has gone missing... hopefully it wasn't the work of that crazy 'lion' they saw the other day. Mix and Go are on edge, but they can't describe how or why, it's just a feeling. Murdoc is more grouchy than usual. Harami and Tarvon are carefree as always and Mona being nervous is nothing new. But everyone's non-lion buddies are going through something or other
MINI EVENT 2/10/24: Tony swung by to meet the new pride member and offer a Meatmaster ewe as a guardian, which is EXACTLY what the pride needed right now. Pudding greets Elizabeth with a kind crane of her neck and gives Jade and Ruth a break in babysitting
DAILY EVENT 2/11/24: With Akaji still missing, things seem to be calming down a little. While everyone and their buddies are staying close to camp, since Julia is mellowing out and Elizabeth is more than well-taken care of, there's not much else they can do. They've scoured every trail and found nothing. Ruby is much more snappy than usual due to the stress
DAILY EVENT 2/12/24: A wave of grief has fallen over the pride now that Akaji had been found... dead. Ripped to shreds days ago and left in a pile by the water, pieces of him gone with crocodiles. Julia is inconsolable and has closed off her burrow. The rest of the pride is much more mopey. No hunting, no patrols, just... home. Talking about their memories with the old hyena and how they felt when they met him
