Sachi's Den

You had travelled for what felt like days across the barren desert. Nothing but sand and the scorching sun to keep you company on your journey, the cry of vultures now a lullaby every night.

Perhaps turning back would be wise, this adventure seemed pointless. A breeze shifted the sand around you and in the distance, a blurry figure suddenly appeared. Where did they come from? How long had they been standing there?

You hesitate moving further, on edge as the figure seemed to move closer. Their dark fur stood out against the sand and upon closer inspection you realised it was a lioness. You eye her as she stopped before you, taking note of her well adorned frame that was littered with scars.

"This way hon." She would speak, turning to walk, waiting for you to follow. Skeptical, you trudge slowly behind, drawing out your claws as precaution. "Do not try anything funny. I am not the only one who came to greet you." She warned.

As if on cue, more lionesses appeared in the distance, watching curiously as you approach. They giggled to themselves and whispered things you couldn't hear, eager to walk beside you and to sniff where you had come from.

"Here we are. Go ahead and freshen yourself up." You stop to stare in awe of the oasis you had been led to, lush green shrubs and trees circling a large body of water that spanned a good distance. "Once again, don't try anything. It is easy to hide a body in the desert."
