Lore

Description of world:
In the lands of Rhyfel, there are multiple "tribes" of lions which are all fighting amongst each other for control. Each pride fights for different reasons and different areas and not all tribes fight amongst themselves. My Main king is in the desert as the leader of the pride lands. Each tribe's hierarchy works in different ways, a long time ago the lions in this land used to be only 2 kingdoms, but once those kingdoms fought and war broke out, everything fell apart. through generations, lions have separated themselves to the point where lions have their own accents and technology.

The Jungle:

The Jungle is not a single tribe like the rest, instead, there are 5 main tribes of nomadic lions. Each one differs from each other yet are similar in a way.

The Environment of the Jungle
:
The Jungle is dense and hard for outsiders to travel through it. The tribes here have learned ways to go through the jungle and have also evolved to live better in the jungle. Lions from the Northwest Prides have gained leaner bodies, extremely good eyesight, and the ability to smell in the mist. the Southeastern prides have not gained leaner bodies but instead have amazing ears, and have stealth to sneak on anyone. Both of these types of lions are extremely good in their environment but have trouble adjusting to other environments. Most lions in the Jungle are smaller and leaner because of the need to climb trees and live on low food such as fruit. Many dangerous animals live in the Jungle as well, such as Alligators, hogs, monkeys, Leopards, Elephants, and hippos

The Prides in the Jungle:

The Jungle is filled with 5 prides, 2 of the prides are down Southeast while 2 live in the Northwest of the Jungle. 1 Pride lives farther North, next to the lands of the Inbetween. the 2 Tribes of the southeast are known as Uthea and Dreca. These tribes always bud heads with each other because of their different belief system. The Uthea believe in a god known as the World Serpent, They also believe in spirits and believe in giving to nature instead of taking. The Dreca are not entirely religious to a single god, as they do not follow a god but instead believe in multiple "gods" that are responsible for different events such as rain or famine. The Dreca also believe in the right to take away from nature as they think themselves better than all animals. The World Serpent is a giant Serpent which is rather a representation of the world order. In the Uthea Belief, the world serpent is responsible for the moral law and mortal law. The moral law is the simple thing of giving to nature, giving to others, peace, not to steal, not to murder, and such. While the Mortal law is the law of nature itself, The Uthea serve this god and pray to it to give them good harvest and wealth for their pride. The Northwest Pride is called Eprus and Safren. For the most part, these prides do not interact with each other, sometimes they will get into skirmishes about land or food but Eprus cares more for Uthea and Safren cares about the pride farther North. The Eprus pride is a matriarchy, the reason for this was because of a long history of pride males and the problems that would come with such a system. The Eprus pride will usually go on a journey to find a male, have cubs, and bring any female cubs back home. For the most part, the Eprus pride cares about themselves and believes in peace and hedonism, they rot all day in trees, eating fermented fruit and cuddling with one another. The Eprus pride themselves on their knowledge and witchcraft, as they were able to get records of lost books from the old kingdoms of Ryhfell. The lions here are weaker physically, as magic takes a cost on the body but I guess that doesn't matter when you can make things float. Safren on the other hand is a strong-willed pride, believing in conquest and victory. Though very tough and sturdy, these lions are short. When Safren is not in battle, they usually hold conquests or battle royals against each other, as the society of lions has grown to love the taste of blood. Many look down on Safren because of their Cannibalistic nature and stupidity. The lions believe in Gro-Goth, the God of War and Murder, they serve him by fighting great battles and of course cannibalism. Safren may not like outsiders, but in the pride, there is much respect and love for one another no matter how they look or how they were born. The Far North pride is known as Ofrus, Ofrus is a very neutral and normal pride. they are very traditional and believe in the traditional pride rules of a leader (usually male) and followers (usually female) but they have changed over the years as the leader role is more decided on skill rather than sex. Ofrus has learned how to cultivate and farm and has been living self-sustaining for a long time unlike many prides who still have to live the nomadic life. Ofrus does not use normal farming as there is no need for fruits or veggies, instead, they farm by leading the cattle right to them. The pride of Ofrus lives right next to the biggest lake, which is right on the path of migration. Instead of going to the hot desert to hunt their prey, they wait and their prey comes right to them.

The Desert

The Desert is filled with humongous dunes, unbearable heat, and a lot of lions. Here in the Desert, the lions of the Pride lands make their home. This area is where most lions are, as the pride lands offer a lot of space and it is plentiful in animals.

Environment of Desert:

Unlike the Jungle, the air here is dry and many lions can be found dead due to excruciating heat. But as time has gone by the lions have evolved to better themselves. Many lions born in the pride lands are usually bigger and have lighter coats such as brown, tan, or white. The reason is that whiter coats have a better time with heat and help with camouflage out in the Pride lands. Many prey animals and predators roam the lands here, examples being: hyenas, crocodiles, Zebras, Antelope, Cheetas, and such.

The Pride Lands:

The Pride lands have many lions under control and they follow a system of 1 main male and 1 sub-male. The culture and accent here are very different compared to the Jungle, as they have deeper voices and slur their words. The lions here are a lot bigger and taller as they have to travel long distances across the desert sand. Here in the Pride Lands, hunting and being able to fight are extremely valued, as there is the notion of serving your pride and taking care of your family. The pride Lands consist of small tents outside, where merchants or "Lower-class" lions stay, while most of the pride land lions stay in the big mountains. There are classes amongst the pride, as there usually are in all societies. Low-class lions are usually lions who cannot hunt or are immigrated lions. The only way for a Low-class lion to make it to a middle-class lion is for them to either prove themselves to the pride or marry into the pride. Because of this system, many lions are classic and belittle lions who are not up to the pride's standards. But If a lion does prove themselves then the pride will open up to them..
