### **In the Beginning...**
Before dungeons, sages, heroes, princesses, and the King of Gerudos, there were three goddesses who watched over the universe: **Nayru** (Goddess of Wisdom), **Din** (Goddess of Power), and **Farore** (Goddess of Courage). These divine beings shaped the land of **Hyrule**, bringing law and order. When their work was complete, they ascended back into the heavens, leaving behind a powerful relic called the **Triforce**. This sacred artifact represented Wisdom, Power, and Courage.

The Triforce was entrusted to the Goddess **Hylia**, who protected it from the malevolent **Demon King Demise**. Demise waged war against Hyrule, but Hylia lifted a portion of the earth into the sky, taking the Triforce with her. The remaining people lived in Skyloft, honoring the deity who saved them. Hylia's duty continued as she sealed Demise away with magic.

### **The Kingdom of Hyrule's Creation (The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword)**
Many years later, during the 25th anniversary of the Knight Academy, a young girl named **Zelda** was captured by the Demon Lord **Ghirihim**. Hylia bestowed upon a follower named **Link** the **Goddess Sword** and a companion called **Fi** to rescue Zelda and thwart Ghirihim. Link's journey led him to claim the powerful **Master Sword** and chase Ghirihim into the past.

Unfortunately, Link couldn't prevent Ghirihim from reviving Demise. Demise returned as a fearsome beast called **The Imprisoned**, consuming Zelda. Demise revealed his plan to dominate the world but agreed to duel Link. After a fierce battle, Demise was mortally wounded. Before his demise, he prophesied that his power would be reborn in the form of another being—**Ganon**—and the cycle would continue⁴.
