The Oasis

The Oasis is an aptly-named oasis in the middle of Queen Saffron's territory, nestled between cliffs of tan and sun-bleached stone. A massive pond of clear, crisp water sits in the middle, bordered by smaller, equally-clean pools, a miniature jungle, and a craggy cave system of dens.

The Oerwoud

The Oerwoud is a medium-sized patch of jungle in the Oasis, where lions get away to hunt or enjoy some quiet time. You'll find the more introverted lions roaming here, resting in the roots of trees or by a creek. These lions do the majority of the hunting for the pride, and will frequently gather nesting materials for pregnant mothers and nursing lions. Most of the pride's herbs and medicine are found here, too.

The Pools

The Pools are a large system of deep puddles of water, most of them large and deep enough to hold two or three grown lions at once. Some of these pools are kept cool by the rocky cliffs jutting out above them, and the other half are heated by the blazing sun. Unlike the pond in the center of the Oasis, these pools are meant for recreation, relaxation, and cleaning, and it is considered unsanitary to drink from these pools. To put it in perspective, it would be similar to sipping from someone's dirty bathwater.

The Warren

The Warren is a large system of caves within the cliffs surrounding the Oasis. The lions you'll find here are either pregnant or nursing mothers, or lazier lions trying to hide from the glaring sun. The floors of the Warren are decorated with lush plant life, frequently watered by those inhabiting the caverns, and the walls are covered in paintings and murals of tall tales or beautiful scenes the artists have heard, seen, or imagined. Injured lions will stay in the Warren, as the walls of the inner caverns protect the inhabitants from heat and predators.
