Once a desolate territory scarred by drought, a lion speaking of the Sun as a deity after emerging, near-death, from the desert is alleged to have brought the rains back – not only that, but has apparently turned the land to one favored by all good fortune, lush and plentiful. The Sun continues to beam down overhead through any and all changes, ever fixed on the ground below like a great, glowing eye.
