CHAPTER ONE; Pacemane's GREED (Updates with current king dies)

Under Pacemane's rule, it was even, balanced and peaceful. Sure, the old grump knew his taste in lionesses, but it was time for a new beginning. Black n Blue sneered from afar at the old primal licking his bloodied paws from their most recent kill. Black n Blue felt sort of preget of what he was about to do, but he felt a rush of excitement thinking about what he was about to become.


Imagine it, pretty and loyal lionesses, food- you know? All you can eat! Prey practically running into your mouth... and with the power of beauty and strength, Pacemane had it all, hell, he knew he had it all, in spite of that, when he grew old he could no longer produce heirs; for his strength was drained of almost all life. In his prime, he killed almost all of his cubs because they were ugly, and no ugly cub of his would survive long enough to rule, male or female. So when he didn't produce a male in time, the lionesses started to scorn him for murdering their cubs. "Disgraceful and a waste of oxygen!" The old king defended himself, countering their cries of outrage with his own fury, from then on the once happy and carefree pride became void of happiness, where pretty cubs once played, they mewled in hunger at their mothers. The king had gone fat and ate all the queen's fresh kills, even storage supplies and killed anyone who even sneaked a glance at his rotting buffet.

Drawn in by the smell, Black n Blue spied a groaning lioness in the horizon, it looked as if she was in pain.
A pink tan lioness and with no king near? Black n Blue nearly bolted to her side, at first the lioness managed to hiss and bat at him with all her might, her fury still ferocious even in her tender state. But Black n Blue stayed by her side out of the 'kindness' of his heart, even going as far as to kill a few rabbits to help her keep her energy. "I knov what you're after." A few weeks had gone by, three cubs nestled into the lionesses warm flank, it was a long and hard time but eventually Cerisenight gained her strength back, her cubs as healthy as can be. "You do?" Black n Blue's eyes were unmoved, staring at the lioness.
Cerisenight nodded and stared down at her cubs, presumably to avoid Black n Blue's gaze. "I will help you, I can't live like this, on the verge of starving, we need the pride, our 'king' isn't a king." When Black n Blue didn't reply the lioness continued, her hatred growing within her next words. "He's selfish, stealing our prey from us, killing our cubs when they are born, not to his twisted standards of 'beauty.' I... won't live like this." Black n Blue huffed a laugh, "Such venom in your voice, you would think you were going to get rid of him."
