PRIDE LORE
Harsh times beset the marshlands after the death of the old king. The acephalous lions began to scatter directionless. One of the few remaining lionesses, Grace, would travel long distances alone, searching for something to aid in reuniting her fragmented home.A full moon broke through the night sky. Its reflected light glittered across the nearby perennial stream. As Grace approached the shore for a drink, she spotted a peculiar lion, wading in the water. His pelt melted into the nightโs darkness, and the gilded regalia ornamenting his body rang like sober wind chimes as a breeze flowed by.
Grace guided the stranger to the bank. As they waited for him to dry, Grace inquired about his identity. He called himself ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ. He told Grace he was a wandering prophet who had travelled alongside Shaman Aker, Sorcerer Shpinx, Sangoma Tefnut and their apprentices for a time. Now alone once more, he was delighted to have someone to converse with.
The lioness enjoyed his various stories. They stayed by the shore talking till dawn began to rear its head upon the horizon. Yet, Grace was not ready to say goodbye to her new friend. She invited him to stay in her pride till he was ready to continue on his journey once more.
Not knowing of the prior events that had befallen the marshes, ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ was surprised to find how small Graceโs pride was. ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ is not a large lion. In fact, heโs much shorter than most of the lone males one would find wandering across the savannah, and his maneless head adds to his oddness. Though not intimidating by any means, ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ โs unique experience gave him expert insight into the spiritual and migrational patterns of the lands. His guidance led the lions of the marsh to slowly return, rallying behind the odd lion as their new leader. After much deliberation, ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ decided he no longer cared for his former solitary life, and accepted the role of King to the pride. With Grace as his advisor and her family as council, the pride is now stronger than ever.
๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ and his pride are nomadic, never staying in one territory for too long. Just because ๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ abandoned his hermit lifestyle did not mean he was ready to stop traveling. You might see his entourage near your pride one day, offering stories and exotic wears from their travels in exchange for a nightโs rest adjacent to your land.
๐จ๐ฎ๐ช๐ผ๐ฝ apologizes for the influx of golden scarabs suddenly crawling around your territory. They seem to follow him wherever he goesโฆ
