The pride works like this: the lions are divided into two categories, the Betas and the Royals.

The Royals are just that: royals. They are given significantly more power than the rest of the pride. Only a select few are chosen to be in this category. The lionesses, known as Queens, are given power in hunting parties. They are the king's favorite and are typically the ones he spends the most time with.

Adolescent Royals are known as "Princesses." They are trained separately from the adolescent Betas and, along with their normal adolescent training, are taught by the rest of the Queens what to do with their power and how to command and such.

There is one sub male assigned here, and that is the second in command. The second in command is like a deputy to the king. He holds power over every lion except for the king, who he still has to answer to. The second in command is in charge of assigning patrols and usually in charge of attacking trespassers as well. This does not mean he is the heir. The heir is not decided until the king is ten years of age. When the second in command dies, a Beta sub male is chosen to take his place.

However - when a heir is chosen and reaches one year of age, he is placed in the Royals den, as he is a prince, although he is not above the second in command until he becomes king.

The Betas are the members of the pride who must answer to the Royals. They are, obviously, still considered extremely important to the pride despite lacking the power that the Royals do. The hunting Betas in hunting parties are under the command of the Queen hunters.

Cubs stay in the den of their mother while they are nursing. When they reach five months they are placed in the Cubs den, where they stay during the beginning of their cub training. The broodmothers of the pride also stay here. When they reach one year of age, they are assigned by the king to either Betas or Royals.

Lions or cubs in “unsorted” with a $ as their name are either up for trade or I'm planning to sell them soon.

I try my best to keep my lions clean, and I’m in the process of weaning out the ones I bought before I knew about the meaning of clean/dirty. I also make it a point to not breed with my offspring, and will buy studding from other lions for them.

I would eventually love to get my hands on all kinds of mutties and rare lions, but my ultimate goal on here is a tigon. They’re obviously very difficult to obtain and it may be a while until I am able to, but hopefully one day I’ll be able to buy one or be lucky enough to breed one!

Note: I began playing in 2016, but due to personal issues I stopped in 2019, and even in those three years, I didn’t play enough to retire my king and have the dynasty I should have now. I began playing again this year (2024) and plan to stick around this time. :) Lions have been one of my favorite animals since I saw The Lion King as a child and I very much enjoy this website.

Outside of Lioden, I enjoy music, especially rock but I have a few artists that I love in almost every genre, writing, poetry, computers, horror and true crime, anything about space or the universe, and animals, particularly raccoons or any kind of canine or feline (yes, absolutely including lions). I care for and adore an American wirehair cat and a chihuahua and plan to adopt more in the future, when I move out of this apartment and into a bigger home with space for bigger dogs to run. I also play bass guitar and work as a substitute teacher. I have a boyfriend of five years that I am madly in love with who I hope to call my husband someday soon.

Also, I don’t really have any friends here - I have social anxiety and find it difficult to reach out to people, even though I want to. If you message me and I take a minute to respond, I’m likely overthinking my response because I think you’re way cooler than me and don’t want to seem lame, weird, or stupid, haha. But I’d like to socialize on here more, so if you want to send a message, I’ll do my best to reply in a timely manner. If I don’t reply at all, I probably feel bad about something or have convinced myself somehow that it’s better if I don’t. Don’t think that I think anything negatively of you! :)
