I'm basically proposing that we make 'special' bases that are now incredibly common and no longer have high 'special' value customizable in the Oasis. I'm not saying make the still rare and hard to breed ones customizable, just the really common and easily and commonly bred ones, such as fiery. My reasoning is because, well... they're already common, and they've lost their 'special' value by now, honestly, and I think by now it should be okay to allow us to use those bases in customization. I'm also proposing the possibility of tsavo becoming a customizable mane. It disappointed a lot of users that it was breedable-only. Plus, it is already quickly becoming common and has about as much value as any other mane, and is just as easily passed. I see no problem with making it custom. This goes for common 'special' markings as well that have lost their 'special' value and are commonly seen everywhere. Also, if you choose to "No support", please explain your logical and fair reasoning as to why. |

No support, the bases may be more common now. But making them customizeble makes it so that you can customize your male that color, which takes away the specialty of prune studs and such.. I suppose that what I'm trying to say, is that there is no need to mak those bases even more common..  0 players like this post! Like? |

Stuff like fiery. I know people still like it, but it's not really that popular anymore and is really, really common and seen everywhere. It's pretty much lost its specialty. Also bases like copper, which is barely even acknowledged anymore, and slate, possibly vandal, etc. Bases no one really flips over anymore. Lions with those bases now pretty much have a value of around 300SB, which is what I've seen them sell for, and honestly that's not really considered to be special. .-. 0 players like this post! No support because it takes away at least one of the barest challenges this game has in terms of breeding. Some things should be able to gotten only through breeding instead of just to anyone who can afford to drop the GB's for it. It gives people something to work toward and incentive to interact with the rest of the community on Lioden to achieve it. Edit because posts were up before I posted. I tend to think the special markings would be better for this treatment, like white rims and underfelt, the lilacs, vitiligo, etc. To compensate for the loss of challenge, you could rotate some of the other less-common oasis marks (or bases) into availability only through breeding. Copper and Vandal are both already customizable... o.O I don't really know about you, but I don't see that many special bases running around other than lots of prune since I believe it was the very first to be released. No support for reasons already stated by Vulgar Hyena and AristaLight. Also, there are only like... 7 special bases? I don't see a need to limit them. Copper and vandal have always been customizable, which is why no one acts like they're special. No support from me, mainly because if they're so common already it shouldn't be an issue to find one that you like. It is nice having something in the game that has to be worked for over time rather than just given to those who have GB. It is a good equalizer between those who are able to buy GB and those who are not. Everyone has the same chance to get these markings and bases, while not everyone has the same chance to buy a base changer. 0 players like this post! Like? |

... copper was never a "special" base. I don't support this idea because as it is you have to put some effort into getting a specific look on these basses, and it ads a challenging aspect to the game. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Even the special marks have a level of challenge that some players enjoy because some marks are actually really rare or uncommon in specific slots even though the mark itself might be widely available on the game as a whole. Being able to customize those marks in the oasis means they can be found in any slot which virtually eliminates that breeding challenge. 0 players like this post! Like? |

However , I do agree with Vulgar Hyena, making any special markings available in the oasis would destroy their value entirely . While they'd still be the same markings with the same looks, they would be available in any slot . As far as the Tsavo mane goes, I can't support that either . I like the fact that it's a special mane and I hope there are more special manes . We have special bases , markings, and even a special eye colour now ! I really like the challenge . Having it available in the oasis would take that away and lower it's value . I'm just waiting for special mane colours and maybe a couple special NCL found bases that would show up on rare occasion . 0 players like this post! Like? |

I really don't see a reason to this, or the Tsavo suggestion. Why? It's already easy to breed apparently, so why make it easier? So it can spread even more more quickly by making customs? No, no I do not like the idea. Specials are one of the few real challenges that you simply cannot get around in the game. Want a maroon cub? Go breed one. Want you uber special male cub to have a special base? Tough luck if he doesn't already, you have to breed/buy another. The same reasoning goes for all specials, eyes manes and markings. I would not like them to be rotated in and out of being 'special' because it wouldn;t do anything but lower value[especially for markings because they can be put in any slot in the oasis] Also, Vandal and Copper are already Oasis bases, half your problem solved! 0 players like this post!
