Hi, all! I've never posted a topic before so bear with me. I had a quick look through the boards but didn't find a topic like this, so maybe I'm the only one who's bothered by it, but here goes anyway, haha.

Lioden is pretty much the only game I play actively and my favourite feature is the Explore; especially visiting and unlocking new areas. However, since I consider myself more of a "casual player" and don't go on the game 24/7, it's hard to unlock new areas.

I'm on my fourth lion now and the furthest I've come is the Arid Desert, which only happened because I got some extra years on my previous king through an event. I absolutely don't mind having to level up my lion and start over on impression level and lower stats, but it's very disappointing to have to go back to only having a couple of areas to explore. I love Lioden, but this function is making me lose interest in the game... :C It feels like all the work put into levelling up to go to new places was for nothing, so what's the point? (Wouldn't it also make sense for the new king to "inherit" the previous king's "territory" and be able to go to the places he's been?)

So, my suggestion is simply this: once you've unlocked an area, it will stay permanently unlocked, regardless of when you go down to level 1 again.

Alternatively: lower the level requirements for unlocking new areas.

Alternatively: make it easier to level up. Especially with the new, more challenging battle system it'll be harder to gain EXP, so levelling up will take longer.

Thank you for your time!

Tbh, I agree with a lot of this. Maybe not lowering the level requirements for areas, but everything else, yeah. I think Lioden is kinda in need of a new exp-gain mechanic. Yes, the enemies in the areas you unlock are meant to support your level and the exp you need, which wasn't entirely difficult to do when you simply had to spam swipe. However, now with harder enemies and a new battle system, it is a lot harder to step into the higher areas and battle for what you need. In most places, I feel like I really only earn 100-200 something exp per battle, even before the battle change.

So, my thoughts are: Packs and groups should give out more exp depending on the area. Instead of just 150 or whatever, you ought to earn 300 and above depending on where you're at. Or each enemy in the pack with worth a certain amount of exp each.

Second: I know the unlocked areas are for the level you're at, but once you begin needing around 40K experience to level up, it becomes absolutely painstaking. For example, I'm in zone 4. Even doing this event actively, battling often, I have only leveled up my lion ONCE. 200 for each enemy is NOT enough to level in a decent manner. It needs to be bumped up a bit more.

Support! I too only managed to get to Arid Desert once with my first king, and I really want to see Marshland and Waterhole, but it looks unlikely without buying exp items.

Alternatively, have the areas unlocked by stats rather than level? Since you gain a bunch of stats every time you level up, and now with the combat going off of your stats, enemies in each area could be more tailored toward your lion's strength.

Support so bad!
Or make a quest that we have to complete to go to previously unlocked areas with a new king.
