I feel like there needs to be a change to how sub male slots are gotten. Currently there is only one option: pay for them. I feel like there should be more options available than simply buying space. 500 SB is not cheap and wanting more than 2 costs 4 GB which is even more expensive and some players can't really afford those. It feels a bit steep to charge us for sub male space, with no other option to get them, when there is the option with normal territory spaces to either pay for them (up to a point) or earn them through battling other players. 1) Like regular territory spaces, sub male spaces can be fought for and won from battles with other player. 2) Sub male spaces opens once a certain number of normal territory spaces have been won (e.g. 10 territory spaces per 1 sub male space). After all, in reality larger territories would more likely be ruled by multiple males. |

I'm on the fence with this one, because Submales don't really do anything... but on the other hand, making more slots can increase the demand for male cubs and might help the economy. Although it means people would be less inclined to chase male cubs, so might hurt the economy more. I think at the very least, if we changed the way to get submale slots, we should change the way patrol works. I think it would make sense if you got a submale space for every ten territory, and then that submale could patrol ten territory spaces, and another submale could patrol another ten territory spaces etc.  0 players like this post! That's an excellent point. To be honest I think the way the sub males work does need drastic overhaul but I'm just focusing on obtaining the slots for them first. Hopefully if this picks up steam we might get the kind of reworking that you're talking about. I think there definitely needs to be more incentive for keeping male cubs. 0 players like this post! no support from me, I'm afraid. While I can understand the desire for different ways to gain sub male slots, I don't feel like there is a need for such a feature. Sub male slots were only introduced to make inheriting the throne easier. Other than patrolling them to raise their stats before becoming king (or being sold) and having them for their looks, sub males are essentially useless. There's no real reason in the game to have more than two sub males, so being able to gain slots in other ways seems sort of... unneeded. Charging GB for the slots not only limits the amount of males in the game, but also provides players with an incentive to purchase GB from the site. I might support in the future if sub males' roles were tweaked (I'm not sure about what changes could be reasonably made, but there might be something!) and they were actually useful, but until then... 0 players like this post! I would love this, it would be wonderful to be able to have more sub male spaces. It could also be very useful. For example, I can be very picky about picking my new king. More slots would make it easier for me to keep a few as I think about it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Wreckuiem - I understand that sub males are only really for inheritance and all that but it seems like it could be used far more creatively than it currently is. I mean, I had the idea of also putting down that sub males could be used for NPC battling to raise both their levels and their impression before they become king so it gives more value to male cubs. Myabe sub males could also help out with hunting along with your lionesses which could be useful for larger prides with more mouths to feed? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm with Wreckuiem. on this one. The got my reason for not supporting down pretty well. However, I also feel that because having more than 2 slots is a luxury, you should have to pay for it. Sub males don't do anything besides being able to patrol, so it's not necessary for you to have more than 1 slot. If ya want more, cough up the GB for it. That's just how I see it though. Unless more sub males drastically change and are actually useful and needed to play the game, no support. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@FearlessRogue: I believe I saw a suggestion like that and commented on it, though I can't find it now. I believe I didn't support that one as well, for a variety of reasons. I wouldn't support males helping out with hunting, as food is already extremely easy to come by (I had (have? ffff) a massive pride and don't struggle with feeding them just from hunting my lionesses and randomly exploring) and cheap to buy as well. I also agree with what Nny said. It may seem a bit of an 'elitist' attitude, but having 2+ male slots is a luxury, and luxury should be expensive. It isn't necessary to purchase GB with IRL money to gain the currency, there are numerous ways to get it, so I don't see a need in making the slots 'cheaper' (or easier to gain, rather). 0 players like this post! If submales did more I would support as far as food being easy... yeah right. I went through 1k sb today ALONE to feed my pride for a few days it's expensive and inflation is getting out of hand as well 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Mystic: I mean this in the most respectful way possible, but if you have trouble feeding your pride, isn't that a sign that it's too large? I mean a few weeks back when I had my lioness count maxed out (45) and around three fourths of them had cubs I was struggling a little bit. It sucked, but I cut back on a few lionesses, got pickier with the cubs I kept, and reduced the overall number of lions I had. Now I can manage them with no issues. I just had to find a balance with how much time I could spend stocking up on food by hunting /exploring and how many lions I had at one time. Perhaps 'easy' wasn't the right word, but I certainly wouldn't call it difficult. 0 players like this post! Like? |
