Pack Laws

~ Defend the clan with your life
~ Do not trespass on another's territory {punishable by banishment or execution}.
~ You may not eat until you've brought back one piece of prey for the clan {normal hunting}. Pwkking and Modirs eat first, then it's in order of rank {great hunt}.
~ Do not eat more than you need to, when you need to.
~ You must ask the Drottning to have a mate, the Drottning and Heilari will decide if you can. It must be half a moon before a couple may have pups.
~ Killing an Aesku is not murder, but anyone else is {punishable by execution}
~ All challenges for a higher rank will take place on the night of the Silfur Misst with Sendibodi as witness.
~ If you encounter an Einfari, do not attack unless they are aggressive, allow them to meet the leader if they wish. Otherwise chase them out.
~ The Drottning's word is law.
~ Respect those higher up than you {punishable by banishment or execution}.
~ You can choose not to believe in the gods, but you may not disrespect them {punishable by execution}.

High Ranks

~~Drottning {queen ~ female ~ one}
Usually the strongest and largest female in the clan, she has dominance over all of the others and should be treated with respect. She is the only one able to lead pack hunts and sentence someone to death or exile, her word is law as long as it doesn't go against the clan values. She may be challenged every silfur misst for her rank, this didn't happen often because it means exile or death for three loser, ties decided by the clan popularity vote.
~~Prinsessa {princess ~ female ~ two}
Daughter or daughters of the Drottning, they often grow larger than other pups, they instantly have more authority than most tanks once they come of age. Pups well often kill their siblings when they're younger to prove they're strongest. If their mother is overthrown, they will be moved down to the lowest rank and must work their way up like everyone else.
~~Radgjafi {beta ~ female ~ two}
The second in command, they hold the same amount of power as the Prinsessa{s} once they come of age, they have been chosen by the Drottning and fought with three other hyenas to completely earn the position on the silfur misst. Unlike the Prinsessa{s}, they will not move down if the Drottning is overthrown, instead they will stay where they are.
~~Pwkking {elder ~ male/female ~ three}
The story tellers of the pack, they grant wisdom and memories of mistakes made in the past. Elders hold nearly as much respect as the Drottning, but less power than the Prinsessa and Radgjafi. Females continue to have a but more power than males, but all are mostly relieved of their previous rank.
~~Pridja {delta ~ female ~ three}
Third in command, they serve directly under the Prinsessa, much like a the Drottning's Radgjafi. The Pridja is the closest companion of the Prinsessa, they are asked by the Prinsessa herself to serve this position and it can not be gained through combat, but it is lost if anything happens to the Prinsessa.

Average Ranks

~~Vordur {guard ~ female ~ four}
These are the guards, their purpose is to keep the camp safe and are required to attend Veidi when they go out. If they don't wish to guard any longer, they usual end up as Horfa. They are powerful and tough, but usually act in defensive methods.
~~Sokn {fighter ~ female ~ four}
These are the warriors, they are right behind the Drottning when they head into battle. To keep from becoming lazy, they attend Skoda on patrols, they chase out loners and such. They are the first line of defense, before the Vordur. Average sized with quick reflexes and strong attacks, they focus on offense.
~~Veidi {hunter ~ female ~ five}
Veidi are in charge of hunting for the Chan throughout the day, up until the great hunt. They go in small groups and go after rabbits, lizards, and other small rodents. They are swift and precise.
~~Skoda {patroller ~ female ~ five}
Skoda patrol the territory daily in small parties with attending Sokn, they remark borders and watch put for threats early on. Probably the smallest females, they are swift and agile, but very flighty when it comes to danger.
~~Modir {mother ~ female ~ six}
Temporarily lowered in rank, aside from the Drottning, since other females aren't usually allowed to have young. They are fiercely protective at this time since most are out to get each other, including pups. Surrogate Modirs are not required to really care for their pups and will not be responsible for the death of any of them.
~~Aesku {pup ~ female/male ~ six}
Just pups, they do not start training until they are a year old. There is an unusually high mortality among youth, as it is not specified that killing young is not murder and they are not actual members yet. By sixth months they'll dig mini burrows in the den and fight their siblings to the death, leaving one pup by ten months. Males often avoid combat so if the pups are different genders, both of then are more likely to survive.
~~Horfa {pup watcher ~ female ~ six}
Often guards who have decided to give up their place, for any reason. There aren't many, but they'll volunteer to guard pups from danger, including other pack members, so that their parents can participate and get out.

Low Ranks

~~Heilari {healer ~ male ~ seven}
The Heilari takes care of all the clan member's wounds, in order of rank, and is safe from being picked on by the entirety of the average and low ranked members. They have excellent memories and attend ceremonies right behind the Drottning, Prinsessa, and Radgjafi.
~~Safna {gatherer ~ male ~ eight}
Basically the scavengers, Safna gather all sorts of items, whether it's medical herbs, decorative objects, or little trinkets for the Aesku. Safna usually have keen eye sight and will collect the berries to mark ranks.
~~Laerlinger {apprentice ~ female/male ~ eight}
The clan members between one and two years in training under two differently ranked clan members in order to give them more options and make them better prepared in times of need.
~~Minna {omega ~ male ~ nine}
The little scrap dog, the Minna is picked on and beaten when ever their pack mates feel the need to take out their anger. They are pretty tough and usually engage in fights to move up, but are very respectful.

Outsiders
~~Einfari {loner ~ female/male ~ ten}
Simply a loner, chased from their clan or they just ran away. It's more common for males to just leave, while females are banished.

Gods & Offerings
~~Brennandi ~ Sun Goddess {light}
A large golden furred female with white spots and orangey skin. Her eyes so bright that she must keep them closed so that whoever looks doesn't go blind. Her fur is tufted and her mane is fire that burns high when she's enraged.

Brennandi is the bringer of light and the most powerful god, she changes the times and her offerings consist of snakes and lizards on yellow flowers and thorns. Mother of Silfur, grandmother of Jafnaegi, and mate of Sendibodi
~~Silfur ~ Moon Goddess {celebrations}
An off white female with light grey spots that are blotchy, her eyes reflect the phases of the moon and will glow on the full moon. Her skin is silver, nose, paw pads ect. And she's rather fluffy and round with a barely distinguishable mane.

Being the goddess of celebrations she is often offered decorations used in ceremonies that are placed in a dip filled with white flowers. Daughter of Brennandi and Sendibodi and mate of Flygia.
~~Fylgia ~ Death God/dess {guide}
Flygia's skull is exposed and half black and half white, the rest of them is varying shades of grey. Their mane is fairly short like a fohawk and their pelt short and sleek. Their eyes are hollow and if looked into it is said that you can see the universe. Flygia's gender is undefined as they are balance.

They are offered bones in a dip with ashes. Mate to Silfur.
~~Jafnvaegi ~ Guardian Goddess {disaster ~ fortune}
Jafnvaegi appears to be made of bark with a leafy mane and her skin is different colored and soft like petals of a flower. Her eyes are bright yellow and she's spotted with tiny flowers in different phases depending on the season.

She is offered plant life found particularly interesting and spare herbs. Daughter of Flygia and Silfur and granddaughter of Sendibodi and Brennandi.
~~Sendibodi ~ Messenger God {prophecy}
A lithe built male with a wavy mane that drapes down to his shoulders and pale tan pelt, spotted with light blue. His skin is pale pink and his eyes are twilight colored.

He is offered feathers on a bed of pebbles in a dip like the rest. He is mate to Brennandi and father of Silfur.

Afterlife
~~Slod
What some may say is the milkyway, the hyenas call Slod. A pathway of lights where those who were deemed worthy walk, if they follow the path they will find what they wished for most before they died. This does not include resurrection.
~~Brun
Scattered stars, those who have gone to Brun were simply normal and their light is more dim. They move through Nott, usually in pairs or small families, reunited through death.
~~Einn
When you look at the sky, you see the stars and an expanse of darkness. Einn is the place for those whose actions did more bad than good, they are now forced to wander alone forever in absolute silence. The worst form of torture.

Ages
Aesku
Aesku are considered Aesku until they are a year old and their survival rate is higher because they no longer have to fear being killed by their packmates.
Laerlinger
After becoming one year they are no longer allowed to be killed by their packmates and will train under two mentors until they are two years, but sometimes they will continue training until two years and six months.
Adult
Almost any rank will be two years {six months} at the youngest, except for Pridja {two years six months}, Radgjafi {three years six months}, and Drottning {four years}.
Pwkking
Any member over nine through ten years, they live out their last few years in comfort. If they're younger and considered a partial Pwkking, it's because of an injury that forces them out of service.

Lay of the Land

Territory
The Aettin Clan lives in the savvanah, being Spotted Hyenas and all, in the center of the territory it's mostly made up of short grass with the occaisonal shrub or tree. To the west and north the grass gets longer and there are more trees, along with a small oasis where a variety of prey and predators pass by to drink, there seems to be a sort of truce here and it is an unsaid rule that no one shall attack one another here. In a more open area on the opposite side of the territory, prey animals migrate and there's a lake where they'll stop to drink. A stream leads from the lake to within five miles of the camp, anywhere between the lake and stream is the hunting grounds. Closing in on the camp it's mostly dirt with rocks that jut from the ground, in between rocks are thorns to secure the camp.

Camp
A dirt clearing in between rocks connected with thorns with one entrance at the north side. A large tree with five dips where offerings are placed, the one facing the entrance is Brennandi's, then going counter clockwise it's Silfur, Fylgia, Jafnvaegi, and Sendi Bodi. A mound with a hole in the back of it is the Drottning's den and stand for calling meetings, the Princessa and any of her other pups sleep with her when they're young and move to a side chamber on the left. The other high ranks sleep in a burrow with multiple chambers in a bush. Average ranks are in a cave in a large rock, the largest den. Horfa, Aesku, and Mordi sleep in another cave, well sheltered and warm, it is filled with tufts of fur and soft plants. Low ranks sleep outside in dips near the average ranks' den. There is a hole dug out near the high ranker's den where extra food is stored, but only from the big hunts.

Appearance

@JayyS Semi realistic coloring, and if you're using an image could it at least hold some resemblance to a hyena?

@Angel After you fix everything mentioned before, you'll be accepted. And if she looks like that, she'd probably be albino and thus be picked on and much lower ranked, I'll let the whole thing about her probably not surviving the Heit slide though.

Ah, alright, I realized that you had all female high-ranks, which I do know is characteristic of Hyenas, so I was hoping it'd been a new series or something. x3 Drat! Oh well, it was well-thought out to say the least. I really like how pups are so vulnerable.

Ahahaha, I know what my character's passtime will be. x3 Just kidding, partially, but I know this RP wont end until my character takes out a pup or two(if said character is accepted, that is)!
