I think it would be a neat idea to have an @ or mentioning feature on the Lioden forums. What I mean is that players can mention other users in their posts (something like @PLAYER-ID) and the user will be notified via messages that they have been mentioned (which will link them to the thread and page they were mentioned on). Idk, I thought it would be helpful when it came to forum games and lengthy discussion topics. Edit There should be a way to switch the notifications off to avoid inbox overload. If we had a tagging system you could go to your profile in 'Edit Your Details' and disable or enable forum tagging/mentions. I could see how some people could abuse the feature, but I kinda doubt people would try to harass others with it in the form of spamming since that's too much trouble in my book (plus would just spam forums, which is against TOS and would get that player a warning/banned). I do like the extensive blocking suggestion and think that the two features would do well nicely together. Thanks for supporting, guys! :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is Koga and I'm on my side account. Thanks for the support! I also had another idea that instead of it sending a message to your inbox and clogging it up, perhaps a message at the top of the site informing you that a player has mentioned/pinged you? Or maybe even a little box on the sidebar that informs you if you have forum pings? :0 Also, quoting people would sound like a fantastic idea as well! EDIT 1: If sidebar alerts box was a thing, then it could show 5 pings max. If you have received more than 5 pings, than you can click a link called "show all pings/alerts" to check 'em out as well. I think this idea would work better if Lioden implemented another system of alerts. That way we don't get bombarded with PM's. Like theres space beside the "Messages" up on the toolbar for maybe and "Alerts" for when someone tags you in a forum message. 0 players like this post! Like? |
