So I know we get notifications on here of new news posts, PMs, and can see when our subscribed threads have been replied to, but those don't help people who don't actively check in. I know sometimes I won't check my subscriptions notifications for a couple days and miss a lot of stuff, simply because I don't get a visible notification.

For people who can't constantly check in, a nice feature is the option to have email notifications. Other sites I go on have this. You can check a box that will send you an email when you get a new PM with a link to it, a thread you are in has been responded to, again with a link, and so on. I think it would be a nice addition, especially for people who come on mobile and have trouble navigating the page.

I am open to suggestions, I know I did not give a lot of information here.

And to be clear... this would be optional. You can turn it off whenever you want.
