Besides just the bright color issue (which is being addressed, thank you! :) ), I find one of the biggest challenges to useing the new layout to be its "flatness" and lack of dimension.
Since there are no lines or means of division or depth between buttons and information areas, it makes it very difficult to navigate visually.

For instance, the way the bars blend together on a lion's stat page make it difficult for your eyes to find the stat you want to look at, or the total stats, even if you know where they are. It's not like you CANT find it, but it is more difficult than it was.


Another example is the navigation bar. Since there are no lines or any kind of 3-dimensionality separating the individual links until you hover, and all the links have the same monotone, sans-serif font, it is more difficult to tell where the button you want is located. (even after we get used to the new locations/new buttons)


I think one of the most confusing examples is the side bar. With no seperating lines/textures everything in the side bar blends together and looks messy. Also, the font is rather small and boring.


One final example is the explore areas page. It looks terribly lonely just flat on a solid color background (even if the background was a different color than white) and rather plain.


I honestly thought that the original layout was much prettier and more relaxing, and honestly did not have any trouble using it on mobile devices. I would very much like to have an option to switch back to that layout (OR have a new layout option that looks very similar to the old layout but perhaps is coded to be able to work with the new coding?)
But at the very least I would love to see some more dimension added to this layout. Better section divisions to help with visual navigation with some 3-dimensionality and a little texture would be a godsend. :)
