Burgis are a hybrid of two completely unrelated animals- the Polish rabbit and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. It is completely unknown as to how these small tufts of fun were created. In fact, many Burgi owners ponder if their beloved pets were created in a lab. Either way, Burgis have hopped their way into the hearts of humans around the world.

Burgis are one of the most unique looking creatures on the planet. Their anatomy is relatively easy to understand, however. The lower portion of a Burgi's body resembles that of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. However, it has the puffy cotton ball tail of a Polish rabbit. Above its fluffy neck, a Burgi sports a canine like head that has a rectangular jaw like the Corgi, but a Rabbit nose and teeth.

Male Burgis stand at 10 inches and weigh 15 pounds
Female Burgis stand at 8 inches and weigh 10 pounds

There are few differences between a male and female Burgi besides the sexual organs. Females have skinnier legs and less neck fur, and males have brighter pelts and larger teeth.

Burgis have never been spotted living in the wild. They are completely domestic creatures and would likely be unable to survive without the aid of humans. Burgis are the most popular in England, Northeast coast of the United States, China, and Japan as pets. This is due to their hardiness and small size. They can often be found living in small apartments with their humans.

Burgis are "puppies for life." They are incredible friends and are always smiling and positive. It is unlikely that you will see a Burgi without it's little cotton tail wagging so hard that its butt shakes (much like Corgis.) Burgis walk with huge springs in their step, much to the enjoyment of young children. These children and Burgis get along exceptionally well. However, Burgis cannot be trusted as protectors and guard dogs, as they'd be more likely to lick the danger to death rather than bite it. When they open their mouths to smile, their two buck teeth show which is often something that makes humans laugh with glee. And when their humans laugh, Burgis smile wider. In regards to families, Burgis are a perfect pet. They always keep the mood high and are described to "not have a mean bone in their body." Burgis get along with every known animal. They are amazingly well behaved as well. The only known negative thing about Burgis is their crippling fear of thunder. Your Burgi will dig a hole into the carpet in an attempt to avoid thunderstorms if it feels the need to. It is often suggested to get under a blanket with your Burgi and cuddle it until the storm ends as that is a known way to cure their anxiety.
