For her it was a normal day in her tribe, but she knew something was wrong. She could smell it. Yuki was the tribe's healer. She was set to this roll for she was half blind and nothing else seemed to intrest her. The white feline decided to go out and gather herbs, she had this strange feeling that she'd be needing them and she knew to trust this instinct for it had happened before even as a small cub. She had this feeling to gather herbs even though she didn't know what they were called if her tribe had many injured and dieing warriors or a tribe that needed help from something. The snow leopard was walking through the woods and started to pick some leafs called "Komine" which means healing of the burn in healers tongue. She put them in her leather bag that hung around her waist on the right side of her. The female dusted off her dress that went down to the middle of her thighs. She kept looking for other herbs as well and found some. Then she heard footsteps and heavy breathing.

The young lion was still running like crazy. He was skirting the trees without really seeing them, just guided by his instinct. His mind was elsewhere. His mind was still in his flaming village. The screams were still resonating in his head. And the fear was still strong. Not only the fear of the fire, but the worry this may not be a natural fire. What if it actually was an attack? What if someone deliberately tried to kill them?
He suddenly stopped dead. Being lost in his thought, he did not notice the stranger fast enough and almost bumped into her. He stand still, heavily panting, anxiously looking at the white feline in front of him. He did not say anything, needing to catch his breath before he could talk.

She examoned a the panting lion a bit, quickly spotting a place where he had been burnt. The female walked over to his tail then took out a leaf and crushed it in her paw, letting its juices trickle onto the burnt part. "How much smoke did you take in?" She asked quickly checking to see if he had any more burns, but he did have scratches on his arm, but not deep. The white feline looked at him waiting for and answer. She knew she smelted smoke on him, but he might have not breathed any and she didn't want to give him any medicine he didn't need at the moment.

He finally managed to catch his breath while the stranger was taking care of his tail. He felt a bit reassured, having the feeling he found someone to share his weight with. Not only she was kind and willing to help despite him being a stranger, but also it looks like she knows about medicines. He could not have wished for better.
He bowed respectfully in front of the lady :
- I'm really thankful for your help. However, I'm not the one in need of help.
Standing up straight, he looked into her eyes, hoping to touch her feelings.
- My village burned. Many of my people are hurt, our healer left for a pilgrimage last month, we lost all of our stocks of food and medicinal herbs. We require your help.
His eyes were pleading. She may be their only hope.

She felt bad for him and she nodded. "Okay.... Where is your village?" The female asked. The female was checking her pouch to make sure she got everything she needed for the trip. Hers twitched hearing a whistle and she whistled back and a few male warriors stepped out, glaring at the lion.

The lion was about to ask her to bring some more herbs and ointments but quickly changed his mind, being afraid to seem impolite, He would have to hope the heeler has enough in her pouch.
- My village is not far. The Suyan tribe, in the clearing in the direction of the river. Thanks a lot for accepting to help!
Saying this, he noticed the warriors that were approaching and anxiously glanced at them, hoping they would not attack him for talking to their female.

She nodded slightly to the lion.
"You're welcomed." She whistled again and one of the warriors left back to the camp. "Please lead me and my guard to your village. Its easier to fetch and heal if we have one more person." The white feline said in a smile. Her ears twitched hoping the big cat could show them the way intime in order to save some of his village.

The young lions turned to the warrior, feeling a bit uncomfortable toward the male. But still being polite, he bowed a bit to him : "Thank you for accompanying us". He may be overdoing his politeness a bit, but he knew by experience political relationship between tribes can be really hazardous and any word could be taken as an excuse to launch an attack. The situation being a true emergency, the chief's heir has to do his best to get the full sympathy of the only one who could save his injured villagers.
He turned away, still looking at the female feline : "Please follow me". He then started to walk, not sure if he should walk quietly or make his follower run to arrive quicker to the village.

(I'm sorry, I feel like what I am writing makes no sense... I'm still really uncomfortable with English grammar and syntax :( )

She nodded slightly to the male "You're welcome." After they walked a bit she smelt a hit of burning, but it was a big fire so she started to run with her gaurd after her. The female stopped, panting with her eyes wide as she saw the burned village.
"Husa go gather any injured people for me. Mister lion, can you please tell me your name?" The white feline asked looking at the male. Her tail slightly twitched as if she smelt more than just burning.

The young lion guided the two strangers through the forest in the direction of his village, first walking quick and hasty, and reassured to run with them when they understood the importance of the situation.
When they arrived to the village's ruin, the boy looked around anxiously, being worried for his fellow mates. Some females approached with shyness and curiosity, wondering about the strangers. The hunter was looking anxiously at some cub sitting down, his head lowered, near some unidentifiable fabric shape, when the female leopard called him, making him jump. He looked up to her, quickly wondering why she would need this information, and replied politely : "My name is Elijah. I am the heir of the Suyan tribe." He hesitated a bit again before returning the question : "And may I ask yours ?"

While they were speaking, a dark, older lion, wearing a thick and long mane, slowly and silently approached them, looking curiously at the female.

"My name is Yuki. I need to know for-" She saw the cub and the lion with the big mane. The female quickly went over to the cub and softly spoke to it and it hugged her and she smiled then she hugged him back. The female whispered something into the young cub's ear then gave him an herb. He coughed and her nose twitched as if something aweful came out. She carried the cub over to the two male's as he fell asleep after he fell asleep.

"I am sorry sir, this cub needed to be tended to." Yuki said with a small nodded with a head for she was carrying the young cub. "I do suppose you are the tribe's leader?" She asked looking at the loin with the long main.

Elijah looked at the female going for the small cub, a bit curious about what she may be doing, but feeling rather trustful and confident. While the healer was taking care of the young, the older lion approaches the hunter. They quickly exchanged a few words until the female came back to them.
"Sure. Thanks a lot for helping him." said Elijah. He addressed them a forced smile that quickly fainted out when he looked at the sleeping cub. He knows his mother well, and he knows she would never let his son alone in such a situation. Afraid of the obvious answer, he preferred not to ask where she is.
The dark-maned lion bowed in front of the leopard, slightly but respectfully, before answering to her question with his deep voice : "Yes, I am. I am Cherinee. I am really thanks-full to you for accepting to help. Our medicines plants and ointments went lost to the fire, as well as our food. My people are really anxious, as we are sure this fire was not natural at all."
He gave a strong look to the female, to make sure she understood what he was implying.

She nodded slightly before turning towards the way she entered with her guard and Elijah. The female slightly smiled as she saw some of her people come through the bushes. They were all slightly a different shade of orange or yellow. Only a few were white like her.

"Thank you all for coming." She greeted the 25 or so leopards that came. "I would like you to search for any signs of survivors and move all the corpses to the pile." The snow leopard ordered and the went off. "And you are welcome sir Cherinee. I hope you don't mind my tribe helping out with this. It would help me a lot if I knew who were injured or coughing. If you don't mind can you two bring what survivers you found here?"

The lion leader looked at all of the spotted strangers with some anxiety. They were quite numerous and, considering the situation this may become dangerous. What if they actually were the enemies, the ones that started the fire ? The tribe would be vulnerable and defenceless. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and inspired, trying to chase these negative ideas from his mind. He should believe in them and be thankful for their help rather than suspecting them.
Being of a more optimistic mind, Elijah approached the newcomers and greeted them all warmly, hoping they would help to rebuild the buildings as well. He then went away to gather all of the injured lions.
Cherinee stayed with the white female, answering her question : "There is more survivors than dead warriors, you know. But many of us are injured or inhaled lots of toxic smoke, and we do not have a healer of our own.

Elijah quickly came back with a large group of lions, mostly females and youths. Some of them seemed rather fine, being only anxious about the smoke they inhaled, some others were coughing hard, and some were having difficulties to walk, holding wet fabrics on their burnt fur. They all stopped at a good distance of their strangers, displaying various emotions. Some of them were happy to get help from the nearby village, hoping to find here the opportunity to build a real alliance relationship, while some other were just looking curiously at the spotted felines that were similar and different at once, and some others were looking at them anxiously, wondering if they were true allies or potential enemies coming to measure their weakness.
