Jansen Maddox | Surgeon | 22| Mentions: Open Jansen's alarm woke him from a deep sleep and he quickly shut it off. That sound had always annoyed him from the time he was in high school. He took a deep breath before rolling out of bed and stretching as a yawn escaped from him. Jansen walked to his bathroom, quickly took a shower, then brushed his hair and teeth. He washed his face and went back into his room and to his closet, where he pulled out some dark blue scrubs and pulled them on before sliding into his shoes. He looked himself over in the mirror and ran a hand through his hair before going down to the kitchen and fixing a bowl of cereal. Once he was done eating, he grabbed the keys off of the counter and headed outside to his Jeep and heading towards the hospital for the start of a new year, he was going to be a mentor to a new student, his last one had graduated the year before and now worked at the hospital in the ER. As he arrived he parked in his normal spot and hopped out of his vehicle, walking into the main hospital, where he sat at the Nurse's Station, waiting for orientation to start for the students. 0 players like this post! Julianna Giovanni||Medical student (Junior)||21 years old|| Outfit --Mentions: None Stopping just outside the hospital doors she looked up at it, a beaming smile upon her face as she did so. She had dressed professionally for the day, her clean, white lab coat over her outfit. Taking a deep breath and walking in she smiled, her first day of actually doing hospital work. No more being just stuck to classrooms, although she did still have lessons they weren't very often any more as the interning took over now. Goodbye boring first two years, hello exciting last two years she thought to herself, it was very clear she was excited. She was to meet her new mentor, or mentors, by the reception area. It didn't take her long to get there but once there she ensured she looked professional enough, eagerly awaiting to see whom she had been assigned. In all fairness she'd of been happy to have any of the doctors, she'd heard that they were all great and was eager to work under one. Her foot began to tap in anticipation, why did she have to arrive early, although hopefully her eagerness would be taken as a good sign. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He realized there was still a good bit of time left until orientation, but he figured some of the students and interns would come a little early, so he headed downstairs and to the reception area. He walked up to a familiar nurse, greeting her with a bright smile before sitting on a bare counter off to the side, his eyes were caught by a girl around his age, dressed nicely. (Be careful, one of the rules states to wait until at least 3 people post again before posting unless 24 hours has passed) Roman Pierce || Male || 21 Years || Location: Lobby || Mentions: Open || Outfit Walking in from the parking lot, Roman fixed up his hair as he walked over to the receptionist just behind the desk. "Roman Pierce." He stated before grabbing his lab coat off of the rack and slipping his arms throught the sleeves and moving his tie. The red head with the light red glasses typed away at her keyboard before making eye contact. "Go right in, you're marked up." She spoke in a sadsy tone before chewing obnoxiously again. Roman rolled his eyes before opening the two doors that lead into the halls. He immediately noted the bussling nurses and frantic doctors. Letting his eyes wander amongst the female nurses, he turned around. Brown eyes landing on a blonde also with a lab coat. It was Julianna, Roman recognized the Junior. 0 players like this post! Bellamy crow / Male / 23 years / Lobby / mentions: Julianna / The morning was just the average morning, cold with chilled winds to sweep up the leaves from the wet ground, winter was always a nasty season and Bellamy loved it. He had arrived to the lobby only a few moments ago with clip board in hand and lab coat swinging at his sides as he walked out of the hallway and into the main room were people sat and walked around the room impatiently. Honey eyes lifted from the endless black print writing on the papers clipped on the board he held to land on a idle standing young girl, blond hair straight down her back and shoulders and lab coat on, she must be an student and if her name was Julianna, it was his student. Roman was there as well along with a well known surgeon, Jansen. "Julianna...yes hello. I am Bellamy." He stated once he confirmed she was indeed Julianna, walking over to her side with a small smile, eyes glancing at her wile extending his hand for a hand shake. " You will be joining me while I make my rounds. You will take notes and I will ask you questions. He was very blunt with that as he again looked to his clip board before handing it to her, looking to her before turning on heel to continue back down the hallway that held the ward were patients were held from critical to neutral, having a hand for her to follow. Follow me and we will begin.. He made his way down the hall and to the very end room on the right, opening the door with a smile and a hello to the guest, grabbing the white piece of paper that hung on the wall. He waited for Julianna before closing the door and again handed her the piece of paper. Read off what his symptoms are. And please make a list of possible illnesses Mr. Wilco could have. Placing gloved on his hands, and held out a pair for her he awaited for her to get started while Mr. Wilco sat on the green bed like table to await diagnoses. Bellamy was a very busy man and expected top quality with his intern in front of him, though he had no doubt about her skills, there was a reason she was assigned to him in the first place. 0 players like this post! Julianna Giovanni||Medical student (Junior)||21 years old|| Outfit --Mentions: Jansen, Roman and Bellamy Upon hearing a voice she turned to face the man who had spoken to her, a friendly smile was upon her face. "I certainly am, I'm to wait here for my mentor" she called back, her Italian accent was strong in her voice. She didn't wish to make her mentor wait for her on the first day purely because she was having a conversation, so she remained stood where she was. As she heard Roman speak his name she looked over, giving him a smile and a nod of greeting, she knew the fellow intern although not too well. As Bellamy came over she looked at the man, since he knew her name she assumed him to be her mentor. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr Crow, I've heard great things about you" she took his outstretched hand and shook it. Her grip was firm, but not too firm, giving a rather pleasant handshake to say the least. The man appeared very blunt, but at least she'd know where she stood with him. "I expected nothing less" she replied, following him as he indicated. Politely she waved a goodbye to Jansen and Roman, her pace was bouncy and lively as she stepped after her mentor. Upon entering the room she took some gloves herself, after all you could never be too careful. Now her attention turned to the patient, giving him a smile and a nod as well as a polite greeting. She knew half the job was not just patient care, but making the patient feel comfortable with you as their doctor. Luckily the girl had a gift for the latter, the aura she gave off was always happy and kind. Now looking to the paper she read it, reading off the symptom aloud. "Fever, diarrhoea, headache, stomach cramps and chills are the symptoms. I'd say it was more than likely Viral Gastroenteritis, more commonly known as the stomach flu" she put forwards. Jansen Maddox | Surgeon | 22| Mentions: Roman Jansen waved goodbye to the blonde that Dr.Crow had called Julianna as she followed him before turning his attention to the young guy not far from where she had just been. He slid himself off of the counter as he pulled a piece of paper out of one of the pockets on his shirt, he glanced over it. The man was Roman Pierce, one of the ones he was to mentor. "Roman?" He asked with a raised brow as he looked him over. He gave him a warm smile as he extended his hand out, "Dr. Maddox." He introduced himself, "I'm gonna be your mentor." He laughed lightly and turned as one of the nurses walked up to them, a bright smile on her face, "Hey Jansen." She paused as she looked over Roman, "This is the one you're mentoring?" Something about being his mentor. "Ahh, sick, yo!" He grinned foolishly before going in to slap the doctors hand in a side high five and then came back to bump his fist to Dr. Maddox's. "This is gonna be sweet. I've always wanted to become a surgeon." Roman chuckled before noticing the nurse. "Hey, you're pretty hot-" he said bluntly- "would you be willing to be examined on the operating table?" The young adult said non-chalantly, and quite smooth as well. Either way, he tucked up the lab coat collar as he leaned up against the reception desk. Biting his lip as he grinned at the nurse expectantly. Roman couldn't help but flaunt his charm around. |Caron Morrison|Male|28 Years|Autopsy Examiner|Open to Interaction| Caron sat on his own desk down in the medical examiner’s office, his clipboard flipped open to his latest update on his last report. His dark eyes skimming over the paper thoughtfully before he hopped down and stretched his muscles, he had been in since a little before dawn working on finishing up this paperwork on the last body that had been examined by him. ”I believe that’s everything, Cause of death, date of death, identification of body, certificate of death….” He mumbled quietly to himself before neatly stapling the work together and setting it into a manila folder. He’d have to take it up to those file cabinet lackeys later, or now. Now might be better because at least then he could see what new interns and students would be running around the hospital. Humming he took the folder and headed out, passing nurse’s and even other doctors on his way down the hall but never giving them more than a nod or wave. Bellamy crow / Male / 23 years / patients room / mentions: Julianna The room was quiet now as Bellamy continued to type a couple more sentences on the computer, one you normally seen in any room, proceeding not to sit down on the sliding stool the hospital seemed to call a chair. Julianna finished her read off of Mr Wilco's symptoms with a confident look of successfulness as her eyes landed back on Bellamy, who in return finished his typing and stood to full height once more. His honey eyes glanced to her with a nod before walking over to stand at her side, looking down at the paper she still held. Very good Julianna, you are correct. But tell me why it could not be Rotavirus. Awaiting an answer Bellamy quickly got to work on Mr.Wilco with the normal procedure of checking his ears, throat and breathing. His breathing was faltered and rugged, mainly from the nausea and throwing up he was doing along with he coughing, but other than that he seemed well in every other department. Mr. Wilco it seems you have a stomach flue. Now this cannot be helped with antibiotics like normal flue virus's so I suggest you get home and get some rest. And maybe washing your hands a little more will help prevent this again. A smile appeared on his face after the rather blunt pep talk, removing his gloves with a audible snapping sound before throwing them away in the waste bin. Mr. Wilco left the room after a few moments of talking with Bellamy and Julianna about cleanliness, and so too did Bellamy, leading his intern down the hall and into a lounge room. This is the break room. Get food and drink as you see fit. This is also were you cane at lunch with fellow interns. If you need anything during lunch I will be in my office on floor 2. With that said he went over to the water dispenser and placed a paper cup up to the nozzle \ and filled it, taking a few drinks out of it, and threw it away. Please help yourself to anything. When he finally nodded to her she had a beaming smile on her face, her anxious feeling completely disappeared. Now she had one correct diagnosis she was feeling a lot better, perhaps even a little more confident in her own knowledge. She still, however, knew that what happened in the hospital wasn't always so textbook. "It couldn't be Rotavirus as he's too old. The disease is usually only found in children, generally under the age of five. After someone has gotten the Rotavirus they build an immunity to it, hence why it's generally not found in adults" she explained. At least things like the flu were pretty textbook, then again that's probably why he'd given it to her as a first case to help on. As her mentor removed his gloves she followed suit, although she managed to avoid making a snapping sound with hers. Placing them in the pedal bin in the corner of the room she then followed the males out of the room. Following him down the room and to the break room she nodded her head, listening to him explain. "I shall remember that, although be warned I'm a very curious intern" she tried to lighten the mood. Her mentor seemed very much like a blunt person, one whom didn't wish to become all that friendly with others. "I'm not hungry or thirsty, I made sure to take care of that before coming here, didn't exactly want to make a bad impression on my first day" she explained. She took a seat though, pulling her phone from her pocket. On her phone she had her medical note books, it meant she could take them with her everywhere without hauling about books. Beginning to read she mouthed along, it seemed to help her remember the information a lot better. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mentions: open, Ind: Roman Soren had actually overslept for once in her life, and her first thoughts that morning had been a barrage of curses as she hurried to get herself ready to go. Sadly she still looked a bit disheveled when she arrived, with her hair a bit more messy than usual, and a cup of coffee still in her hand. God she hoped that jerk from some of her classes... Roman, wasn't there to see her in this state since she knew he'd just make fun of her... Her luck was not so however, but she straightened up and stalked right past him without a word. "I'm really sorry about being late, I promise it won't happen again, I overslept terribly for some reason." She quickly explained herself to the person behind the desk who probably didn't even care. "Sorry, I'm Soren Richardson." She shook her head, goodness was she really this out of it that she'd almost forgotten to give the woman her name?
