Hey guys!

So after clearing out some of my old crappy lions and building a proper king for my side account, I've finally fully moved onto this account from my main, Zephyr Darksnake (58143)! I used to use this account mostly for farming, earning extra currency when I needed it or storing lions I didn't want to age, but now that I've got a proper king, Marik, who is sort of like a brother king to may main king Melvin, I'd like to start treating this account as if it were a second main, using it just as frequently.

So most of you may know that my main source of income on my main account is through art sales, so it will likely be the same for this account. To keep things simple, I'll split the types of art I sell for both accounts, selling only animal art on my main, and human art here on my side. I'm not as good at drawing humans as I am animals, so I expect to sell a lot less human art than I do animal art, making it a better option to sell from my side.

Please note that slots for human art will be VERY limited and will likely come with a strict list of rules and limitations should I decide to open a shop. As you'll see from my examples, I have a very solid comfort zone when it comes to human art, and it's very difficult for me to step outside of it. Doing so often results in less than standard quality art, and that is a large part of the reason why I wasn't taking human commissions before, haha. But as long as your character is simple enough, we shouldn't have too many problems. I'd just like to ask that you give me a little bit of wiggle room and understand that the art I end up giving you may not be 100% great all the time.

But enough of that, let's take a look at some of the terrible disasters I've made in the past. In order of most recent, here are some of my better human drawings (These are mostly all of the same characters, oops):

mel_s_got_da_glassez_by_zephyrdarksnake-
lust_by_zephyrdarksnake-d9c3su9.png
show_me_your_hips_don_t_lie_by_zephyrdar (not super proud of this one, personally)

These will likely be limited to flat coloured pieces only if I sell them, but here are a few shaded pieces or WIPs just for the sake of examples:

ghoul_bakura_by_zephyrdarksnake-d8yewks. (This one's a WIP)
mel_is_not_impressed__by_zephyrdarksnake

Along with being flat colour only, these will also likely be limited to bust shots, or at the very most from the waist up. The only exception to this rule would be animal/human hybrids such as nagas or centaurs, in which case I will happily add the animal body~
mel_and_ryou_by_zephyrdarksnake-d9h9oc0.dumb_naga_butts_by_zephyrdarksnake-d9h7q
(for nagas, I don't mind adding the scales like that either! If you want to have a naga character drawn I can definitely add the scales too~)

So I haven't decided exactly how I would price these yet. The absolute lowest any of my flat coloured art ever sells for is at least 10GB, and since humans are a bit outside my comfort zone, I'd probably charge a bit more. Where my flat coloured animal art usually runs between 10-25GB depending on complexity, my human art would probably run a little higher at say, 15-30GB.

So my question to you all is: Would you be interested in getting a human art piece from me? And if so, how much would you be willing to pay for it?

Thank you so much for taking a look~!

Ah! I think that first examples would look good with coloured lines. If I could afford it, I'd definitely commission you ^^ (Sadly customizing most my lions has left me broke. xD time to start saving once more)

I guess you already know my opinion on your human art.
My beetles are still ready for you :) (if you still accepts to)

As for prices, I would suggest something like this :
15-20 GB flat headshot
20-25GB flat halbody
30-40GB shaded headshot
25-40GB flat fullbody (with simple outfits)
~60GB shaded fullbody

Hmm, these don't seem to be generating too much interest, haha. Maybe now isn't such a good time to sell these.

@Cytosine~ I probably wont be opening a shop unless I get a bit more feedback on these, but if you're in the market to get some art of any kind, animal, human, hybrid or otherwise, you're certainly free to PM me about it! Even when my shops aren't open, I'm usually still open to taking a few commissions through PM on the side~

You just posted it, I am sure it will gather a lot of interest if you let people the time to see it :o
There are several persons looking for high quality human art, there is a market for it for sure.

However, I am not sure I would be comfortable enough to dare PMing you about human art ;__;

The people who are looking for high quality human art mainly want shaded art, and I'm not selling that right now. Sure it would attract more people who want to commission me, but it also takes me far too long to shade things and I'm not that good at it anyway :S

I also wouldn't exactly call my humans 'high quality'. They're not bad, but they're wildly inconsistent and are by no means as good as the art of a proper, human specialized artist.

But your flat art is good enough to sell as well, I am sure you can still get lots of requests!
And it is still high quality. Sure not as high as some really highly talented artists you may see on DeviantArt or such, but those would sell their art for like 100$ rather than golden beetles anyway. The standard on the beetle markets are not as high as the standards on high dollar prices market so you can still consider your human art to be of high quality, even if the quality is not always the same.
