which animal, though? there are plenty of animals in this world and just saying 'animal' is no help. we can't assume which animal you need help drawing without some information on your part. 0 players like this post! Like? |

One thing that I can tell you is this. It's a universal tip. Draw a circle where the head of the creature will be. If it's like a dog/cat/lion/animal with a muzzle/snout/beak, draw a cross on the circle, one line going up and down, the other side to side. Where the lines meet is going to be where your animal is looking. Generally the eyes are a little above that line, and the top of the muzzle/whatever is just below it. Then, once you have the head, draw a line for the top of the back/spine. Just crudely sketch it in, it's fine if it's messy. Then, use sorta bendy lines to figure out where the legs are and how they'll look. If it looks messy but sorta like a stick-animal you're doing good. Use those spaghetti lines as a guideline and make a triangle like shape for the neck muscles, keeping the top/back on the spine. Then use more circles for the shoulder/hip muscles, and draw cylinders/circles/ovals/other basic shapes for the legs/tail/body. Once you get the basic shapes drawn, you can go over and actually make it look more like a creature. Just remember, everything in art can be broken down to basic shapes.
